Sunderban Tiger Camp (hereinafter referred to as the unit) located at Vill.- Dayapur, P.O.- Gosaba, P.S.- Sundarban Coastal, Dist: 24 Pgs.(S), Pin-743 370 is a hotel/restaurant. AND WHEREAS, previously, the West Bengal Pollution Control Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board) issued ‘closure order with disconnection of electricity’ vide Memo No. 1330- 20/WBPCB/ARO(14)/20 dated 02.11.2020 for gross non-compliance of environmental norms. AND WHEREAS, the Board conducted a meeting with the Institute of Environmental Studies and Wetland Management (IESWM) on 23.11.2020 wherein it was decided that IESWM shall identify the requirement CRZ Clearance for the hotels/restaurants etc. at Sunderban area within 3(three) months. NOW THEREFORE, considering the above facts, the State Board is hereby pleased to provisionally suspend the 'Closure order with disconnection of electricity’ issued to M/s. Sunderban Tiger Camp located at Vill.- Dayapur, P.O.- Gosaba, P.S.- Sundarban Coastal, Dist: 24 Pgs.(S), Pin-743 370 vide memo no. 1330-20/WBPCB/ARO(14)/20 dated 02.11.2020 for 3(three) months with the following conditions: 1. That, the unit shall approach the Institute of Environmental Studies and Wetland Management, DD-24, Sector-I, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064 for assessing requirement of CRZ Clearance with information i.e. Mouza, J.L. No., Block name, Latitude, Longitude of the location of the unit in Degree, Minute & Second etc. within 15 (fifteen) days from hereof for obtaining CRZ Clearance from the Competent Authority within 3(three) months from hereof. 2. A copy of the information submitted to IESWM shall also be submitted to the State Board. The electricity connection of the industry is ordered to be restored with immediate effect. The Director (HR), WBSEDCL is requested to take necessary steps for restoration of electricity connection of the above mentioned unit immediately. The Sr. Environmental Engineer, In-charge of Alipore Regional Office, West Bengal Pollution Control Board is requested to oversee the compliance of this direction. This direction is issued in exercise of the powers conferred under the provision of Section 33A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Section 31A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and Rules made thereunder after being approved by the Competent Authority.
