The Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, which opened in fall 2015, is housed on a working film lot — Steiner Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It is also the first public graduate film school in New York. The school is dedicated to cultivating new and emerging voices in cinema in a diverse and inclusive learning environment, and offers two degree programs: the master of arts (M.A.) in cinema studies and the master of fine arts (M.F.A.) in cinema arts. ADMISSION The fall application deadline for both the M.A and M.F.A. IN CINEMA ARTS M.F.A is January 15, 2016, for priority consideration.
