No qualifying Doubles 13 of 16 will be Direct Acceptance 3 Wild Cards ATP Challengers will reserve 2 spaces for the best teams with ITF World Ranking Transition Tour • Players must have been accepted into the Singles competition to be eligible for Direct Acceptance • Players accepted into the main draw will have priority over those in the qualifying competition. Ranking Conversion/ Introduction • Official conversion of ATP and WTA rankings; official introduction of ITF World Ranking • 2018 performance gets converted into what it would look like December 31, 2018 under the 2019 points structure (see slide 10). • ATP ranking – Best 18 tournaments; WTA ranking – Best 16 • ITF World Ranking – Best 14 (men and women) • Performance at ATP Tour, ATP Challengers and later rounds of $25,000 tournaments retained as ATP points (Best 18 tournaments) Men • Performance at $15,000, $25,000 and qualifying rounds in ATP Challengers converted into ITF World Ranking points (Best 14 tournaments) Ranking Conversion/ Introduction (continued) • Performance at $25,000 level and above retained as WTA ranking points (Best 16 tournaments). Women • Performance at $15,000 level converted into ITF World Ranking points (Best 14 tournaments) All ranking points will count for 52 weeks, including any conversion • 2018 tournaments, 2018 entry process, 2018 points. • 2019 tournaments, 2019 entry process, 2019 points Tournament Entry • Shadow rankings will be used for acceptance into tournaments in the first 3 weeks of the 2019 season (the entry deadline will fall in 2018) Data Research Study - 2019 % of points Mobility & earned by Americans Progression % of draw consisting of American players 2020 Competitive Pathway Structure & Strategy Wildcard Criteria We have an opportunity to use Transition Tour wildcards and entry level Pro Circuit wildcards to strengthen our American Pathways of Competition. The allocation system will be objective and transparent.
