Welcome to the "Plant Population Biology: Crossing Borders" meeting which is the 23rd annual meeting of Plant Population Biology section of the GfÖ, the Ecological Society of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The PopBio2010 meeting will cover all aspects of plant ecology, crossing borders between plant population biology and neighboring fields. Our keynote speakers will address how transdisciplinary studies are the way forward in plant population biology and we encourage all contributors to show how progress in their studies depends on adopting and integrating approaches from other disciplines.
