She did her internship at the Interministerial Delegation for Urban policy and her Master's group dissertation on community legal centres (Maisons de justice et du droit - MJD). 2001 She worked with Daniel Vaillant, mayor of the 18th district of Paris, National Assembly Deputy for Paris and former Minister. She was then responsible for issues of prevention, security and drug addiction. She participated that year in drawing up the Local Security Contract (CLS) for the 18th district. 2 2004 She helped prepare the "Anti-crack plan for north-east Paris" initiated by the Interministerial Mission against Drugs and Drug Addiction (MILDT). After the first round of the presidential election on 21 April 2002, she decided to become more actively involved in politics and joined the Socialist Party (PS). She sat on the National Council of the Socialist Party, then became a member of the PS National Bureau in 2012 and National Secretary of the Socialist Party with responsibility for security issues in May 2014. 2008 She was elected Deputy to the Mayor of Paris Bertrand Delanoë, with responsibility for child welfare and specialized prevention, and for prevention and security from 2011 to 2014. April 2014 She was elected Vice-President of the General Council and Deputy to Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, with responsibility in that capacity for security, prevention, urban policy and integration. She was also a member of the City Council for the 18th district of Paris. 2014 She resigned from all executive offices on 27 August 2014, after joining Manuel Valls government as Minister of State with responsibility for Urban Policy, attached to Patrick Kanner, Minister of Urban Policy, Youth and Sport. .
