Combining the genres of funk, rock, jazz and soul the group crafted a new sound, one that would be best described as “Street Funk” –a music that would eventually pave the way for the success of both Rap and Hip Hop. The Ohio Players emerged as one of the top American funk and R&B bands in the mid-70’s with No. 1 hits like “Fire” and “Love Rollercoaster” and has been providing fans with musical hits ever since.
