Professor Michael Norton is the Environment Programme Director at EASAC. He has been the Counsellor of Science & Technology in the British Embassy Tokyo, a visiting Professor, Director of the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, First Secretary (Science) at the British Embassy in the USA, and UK scientific representative to the Oslo and London Convention. Sepi Golzari-Munro is the Deputy Director (Strategy) at the Energy & Climate Intelligent Unit. She previously led the UK programme at E3G; worked as an adviser to organisations; and spent 7 years as a Whitehall official including in DECC. She also spent 2 years as a Visiting Academic at King’s College London, Faculty of Law and is currently a UK100 Board Member. Dr Nina Skorupska CBE is Chief Executive of the Renewable Energy Association. She has worked for over 30 years in the energy industry, as a fuel expert, power station manager, head of energy trading and as member of the Executive Board – Chief Technology Officer for the largest energy company in the Netherlands, Essent. Benj Sykes is the Co-Chair of the Offshore Wind Industry Council (OWIC). He is also the UK Country Manager for Ørsted’s Offshore Wind business and on the Board of G+, providing Health and Safety leadership. He co-chairs the OWIC alongside the Energy Minister and is a Fellow of the Geological Society and the Energy Institute. He was previously the Director of Innovation at the Carbon Trust. Rebecca Pow is Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Environment and MP for Taunton Deane. She is also the former Minister for Arts, Heritage and Tourism. Previously she was PPS to Amber Rudd while she was at the DWP and also a DEFRA PPS. In 2018, she was awarded as the "Greenest New MP" by the Climate Coalition. She is a scientist by training, a former environmental reporter, and has also worked for the NFU. She was also a CEN MP. Boris Johnson (inv) is Prime Minister of the UK. Since taking office in July, he has repeatedly prioritised the environment, pledging £10 million to the international effort to help restore parts of the Amazon rainforest destroyed by fire, committing an additional £7 million to expand Blue Belt protections, and adopting a rescue dog for No 10. From 2008-2016 he was London Mayor, where he oversaw the 2012 Olympics. Boris was previously Foreign Secretary and is a former Vice-Chair of the Party. Polly Billington is the Director of UK100, a network of UK cities and local authorities who are committed to the transition to 100% clean energy. She was previously special adviser at DECC (2008-2010) and Director of Communications on Sadiq Khan’s Mayoral election campaign. She also has 15 years’ experience as a journalist at the BBC. Georgia Berry is Chief of Staff to OVO Energy’s CEO and founder, Stephen Fitzpatrick. She was previously Theresa May’s Special Advisor for Energy and Infrastructure, helping to shape both upstream and retail energy policy. Prior to Number 10, she was Head of Corporate Responsibility at Centrica. Guy Newey is the Strategy and Performance Director at Energy Systems Catapult. Prior to this he was Energy and Climate Advisor to former Energy Secretary Greg Clark and Special Adviser to Amber Rudd. He was previously Head of Policy at Ovo Energy and Head of Environment and Energy at Policy Exchange. Alex Chalk (inv) is MP for Cheltenham. He was a member of the Justice Select Committee for over 3 years and is now PPS to the Foreign Secretary. He is a former PPS for Education, and for both the Health and Social Care and Defence Secretaries. Alex introduced a Bill to set a net zero 2050 target in law. The ZeroC campaign is calling for the introduction of General Carbon Charge, to account for carbon pollution within the price of goods and return the money raised to citizens. She joined CEN after three years of working as a Parliamentary Researcher for an MP. During this time she led campaigns on marine energy and tackling plastics. She has a Masters in Environmental Policy. Alok Sharma MP is the Secretary of State for International Development. Alok has been the Minister of State for Employment and Minister of State for Housing and Planning. Alok was also Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign Office, and served on the Treasury and Science & Technology Select Committees. Lord Ian Duncan of Springbank is the Minister for Climate Change in BEIS. He was previously a member of the European Parliament where he was Conservative spokesman on Energy and Climate Change, and Fisheries. He was also the Parliamentary delegate to the UN COP in Lima (2014), Paris (2015) and Marrakech (2016).
