GOVERNMENT OF MEGHALAYA SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT ORDERS BY THE GOVERNOR NOTIFICATION Dated Shillong, the 31st July, 2009 No.SW(S) The Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to constitute a District Level Grievances Redressal Committees for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers for West Khasi Hills District with the following Members: - 1. Deputy Commissioner - Chairman West Khasi Hills District 2 District Programme Officer, Nongstoin - Member Secretary 3 Project Director, District Rural Development - Member Agency (DRDA) Nongstoin 4 District Medical & Health Officer, - Member West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin 5 Inspector of Schools, West Khasi Hills - Member 6 Block Development Officer, - Member Mawkyrwat/ Mawshynrut/ Mairang/ Ranikor 7 Child Development Project Officer, - Member Nognstoin/ Mawkyrwat/ Mawshynrut/ Mairang/ Ranikor 8 Representative from Anganwadi Worker - Member 9 Representative from Anganwadi Helper - Member 1) The scope of the Committee is to improve the morale and motivation of the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers for their services to the Community. 2) The function of the Grievances Redressal Committee is to identify the Grievances and day to day problems placed by the workers and to suggest on effective remedial measures. 3) The Committee shall meet once in three months at the District Headquarter or at any time, whenever cases of grievances needs urgent attention. 4) The Committee may co-opt representatives of the VLCC/ Community leaders/ NGOs from within the Project areas provided to the members of such representatives does not exceed two for such ICDS Project. 5) The term of the Committee will be for a period of two years with effect from the date of issue of this notification.
