MPC Vote via email July 1, 2021 Members Present: Mike Serra – Chairman & Jr Coach Rep Sergei Pakanich – Jr Coach Rep Randy Jepson – Sr Coach Rep Justin Spring – Sr Coach Rep Kip Simons – Athlete Rep Paul Ruggeri – Athlete Rep Jason Woodnick – VP Men’s Program (voice, no vote) Brett McClure – High Performance Director (voice, no vote) Dusty Ritter – Men’s Dev Program Coordinator (voice, no vote) Raj Bhavsar – Men’s Dev Program Coordinator (voice, no vote) David Klein – MDPC Chair (voice, no vote) Mike Juszczyk – NGJA Rep (voice, no vote) The MPC was asked to vote via email on the acceptance of the Senior NT athletes that were nominated by the Olympic Selection Committee to attend World Championship Trials, and therefore, receive USOPC funding as per the NT funding document here: https://usagym.org/PDFs/Pressbox/Selection%20Procedures/m_21trials_funding.pdf The Senior athletes that were nominated for funding are as follows: Criteria 1: Tokyo Olympic Team (not including replacements) Brody Malone Yul Moldauer Shane Wiskus Sam Mikulak Alec Yoder Criteria 2: Athletes who are invited to participate in the 2021 World Championship Trials Alex Diab Stephen Nedoroscik Donnell Whittenburg Brandon Briones Akash Modi Gage Dyer Cameron Bock The Committee voted to approve the funded athletes: 4 votes in favor 2 recused votes Following this email vote, the Committee was asked to vote on one additional funded spot for Senior National Team member, Allan Bower. Allan is one of the replacement athletes for the Olympic Games and would be the only member of the Olympic delegation to not receive funding. USAG has approved funding for Allan through August 2021 in order for him to prepare for Tokyo. The MPC was asked to vote via email to officially approve Allan’s funding from USAG. The Committee voted unanimously to approve funding for Allan Bower through August 2021. .
