A Celebration of Grandeur A Report on Annual Day Celebration - 2018 Annual Day of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, honoring, accolades, and festivity. On the auspicious occasion of Birthday of beloved Chairman Dr. M. Mohan Babu reverberating celebration filled Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College on 19th March, 2018 with vibrancy and jubilation. A gamut of eminent personalities graced the occasion as Guests of Honor Ms. Katherine B Hadda, Consul General, United States Consulate General, Hyderabad; Sri Tapan Patel Executive and Management Committee Member, NMIMS, Deemed to be University, Mumbai; Sri. Devineni Avinash, Vijayawada; Sri. Swaroopanendra Swami Ji, Sharadha Peetham, Vishakapatnam; Shri. V. Ravi Kumar Iyer, International Joint Coordinator, Hindu Swayam sevak Sangh; Dr. K. I. Varaprasada Reddy, Founder Chairman, M/s Shantha Biotechnics Limited, Hyderabad; and Ms. Pragya Jaiswal, Movie Artiste, Hyderabad graciously presided over the grand celebration. The 26th Annual Day celebration called for a gala evening. The fête began with an invocation dance. Entailing the scintillating invocation dance, the annual report of the institution was presented by Chief Executive Officer, Sri. Manchu Vishnu. All the invited Guests of Honour spoke on the occasion commemorating and commending the milestones achieved. They also wished the college reaches heights of excellence. Ms. Katherine Hadda illustrated failures as stepping stones to success with the events of her. She said that due to her failures she was able to discern her true calling. She is now happy that she could connect with people through her profession which gives her immense satisfaction. Sri Tapan Patel congratulated the college on achieving 26th year milestone. The college he said, has the caliber to be accounted as one of the best colleges in the country and the day is not far when it would be chronicled thereby. Sri. Devineni Avinash appreciated the state-of-the-arts facilities in the college. He was all praises, for the renowned actor and humanitarian Dr. M. Mohan Babu, who besides all his glory ventured to establish the education institutions par excellence. Sri. Swaroopanendra Swami Ji addressed the students and inspired them to have disciplined demeanor, passionate quest for knowledge and achieve their aspirations. He motivated the students to be the joy of their parents and not a thorn by their side. Shri. V. Ravi Kumar Iyer, elucidated the services done by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in his speech. Speaking on the occasion, the well wisher of the college, Dr. K. I. Varaprasada Reddy, emphasized on role of students in nation’s growth. Nation’s economy he said depends on student’s future for which the educational institutions should be strong. He appreciated Dr. Mohan Babu for the hardships undergone in building up ideal institutions and leaving a great legacy in the film kingdom, educational domain and as a humanitarian. Ms. Pragya Jaiswal was captivated by the serene and ultra-modern infrastructure of the college. The students she said were fortunate to be spending their prime years on such a campus. Sri. Vishnu Manchu, Smt. Manchu Lakshmi, Mr. Manchu Manoj and family members of Dr. Mohan Babu graciously presided over the function. In his address Mr. Vishnu Manchu mentioned about the various initiatives by the management of the college for the benefit of the students not just during their college life but also for their future. Mr. Manchu Manoj in his address, touched upon many valuable thoughts like respecting and protecting women, amiability for a peaceful life, dreaming wild and working hard to achieve them, and positive attitude towards all that life has to offer. He suggested the parents never to compare their children with others because everyone is unique. The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for the academic student achievers of the college. Sri. Velupula Bhushanam and Sri. Parsa Rajendra Prasad were conferred with Best Teacher Award. Dr. T. Lazar Matthew, Research Advisor of the College and all the artists of Vishnu Manchu Art Foundation were felicitated in honour of their contribution. A colorful cultural programme marked the 26th annual day celebration. Celebrated with great zeal, the students performed a puppet dance, Sivaleelalu Dance, folk dance, and Western Dance. The students enthralled the audience with Manchu Hits, and Optical illusions. The crowd was also mesmerized by the Dappu (Hand drum) Dance. The celebration came to an end with Birthday song to the legend Dr. Mohan Babu and his golden words to the crowd. Beloved Chairman attributed his success thus far to the blessings of God and his beloved parents. He said self- belief has to be nurtured as it is the key to success. Sri.
