This is in keeping with the custom of eating oily foods on Cha- nukah to commemorate the miracle of the oil lasting for eight days to light the Temple Menorah in ancient times. Families were thrilled to take home platters of latkes for their Chanukah parties. This exciting and tasty event was the second of four such family events that CHS holds annually. This strengthens Chabad Hebrew School’s vision of fostering a strong home–school connec- tion for its students. Upcoming Family Fun Days include the, The Hamentaschen Bakery and The Cheesecake Factory.
