Creating a program with a strong founda- tion and the markings for greatness, Johnson and the team are poised to pick up where they left off last season. In 2003 he was inducted to the National Shrine of American Hockey as a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team. He was inducted again in 2004, for his individual accomplishments as a play- er and coach. Vince Lombardi Charitable Funds also honored Johnson’s volunteer work by presenting him with the 2004 ‘Award of Excellence’.
