The load-displacement diagram with FEM model is given in Fig. 3. The displacement value was calculated for workpiece to fulfill the die cavity as 18mm. The diagram can be divided into two different stages. At the first stage, the material is compressed and upsetting takes place at the same time until the end of the contact of the material with the die wall.
