Chapter I contains the text of the resolution adopted by the Commission at its sixty-second session. Chapters II to V contain a summary of the proceedings of the Commission under the various items of the agenda, concerning particularly the adoption of the agenda and organization of work; statements focusing on the role of the Commission; the adoption of the resolution on the closure of the work of the Commission; the adoption of the report of the sixty-second session, the Chairperson’s closing statement and the closing of the session. The above chapter numbers correspond to the respective items of the agenda. The annexes appear at the end of the report: annex I contains the agenda of the session; annex II contains the list of participants and annex III contains the list of documents issued for the session. Closure of the work of the Commission on Human Rights The Commission on Human Rights, Considering General Assembly resolution 60/251 of 15 March 2006, which created the Human Rights Council, and Economic and Social Council resolution 2006/2 of 22 March 2006, 1. Takes note of General Assembly resolution 60/251 of 15 March 2006; 2. Refers, accordingly, all reports to the Human Rights Council for further consideration at its first session in June 2006 (see annex to the present resolution); 3. Expresses its appreciation to all those who contributed to the promotion and protection of human rights during its sixty years of existence; 4.
