
Zachary BUCZKOWSKI Graduating from Atlantic Shores Christian School Son of Joe and Dina Buczkowski ACHIEVEMENTS – Eagle Scout – National Honor Society FAVORITE VERSE | Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. FUTURE PLANS Next year I am attending ODU to major in Computer Science. LBBC has been what I would consider a safe haven. Amidst all of the toxicity and stress of the world around us, it has been nice coming to LBBC to escape those things. Toxicity and stress are replaced with positivity and encouragement. It has also given me a boost in the week, knowing that God is always watching over me. Noah BUTCHER Graduating from Ocean Lakes High School Son of Stacy and Samantha Butcher ACHIEVEMENTS – LBBC A/V Team since 2014 – Virginia Beach Youth Police Academy Graduate – Saltville mission trip 2019 FAVORITE VERSE | Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpens iron, as one man sharpens another. FUTURE PLANS I will be joining the National Guard and then going to college. LBBC has been the place where I’ve met my best friends who have helped me grow in my faith as well as helped hold me together in the trials life has thrown at me. The teachers I’ve had in small group have taught me how to have a relationship with the Lord and the A/V team has helped me realize my talents can be used to serve the Lord. Aidan CASTLEBURY Graduating from Homeschool Son of Mark and Brenda Castlebury ACHIEVEMENTS – Achieved the rank of 2nd LT. in the Civil Air Patrol – Valedictorian FAVORITE VERSE | Psalms 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! FUTURE PLANS I will be attending Liberty University in the Fall and majoring in Commercial Music: Recording, Producing, and Engineering with the goal of being on staff at a church, or touring with a band. LBBC has been a second home for most of my life. I got heavily involved in the church’s technical ministry in 2016 and became the head of the Youths A/V Team in 2017. Being raised in the church, I’ve experienced a lot of events, people, and growth, but the most impactful thing that LBBC has given me is the mentorship of Kyle Bentz, the church’s Technical Director. At age 14, he took me under his wing and after years of friendship, and mentorship, he has truly played a massive role in shaping my future, which is something I’d never change. Codey EDWARDS Graduating from Ocean Lakes High School Son of Bryan and Michelle Edwards ACHIEVEMENTS – Completed over 200 volunteer hours at the Virginia Beach Marine Science Museum, – Backpacked over 120 miles in New Mexico last summer over the course of 2 weeks. FAVORITE VERSE | PROVERBS 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. FUTURE PLANS I will be going to Tidewater Community College and then transfering to get a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. LBBC has given me some of my best friends and favorite memories. Jacob Matthew Leo EDWARDS Graduating from Green Run High School Son of Michael and Lori Edwards ACHIEVEMENTS – ROTC National Champion FAVORITE VERSE | Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who gives me strength. FUTURE PLANS I plan on either joining the navy or getting an apprenticeship to be a mechanic. LBBC has gotten me through some insanely difficult times and really helped me figure out what I need to do to be successful in life. Zoë Page FOTOPOULOS Graduating from Tallwood High School Daughter of Philip & Christie Fotopoulos ACHIEVEMENTS – GSWLA graduate – Science National Honor Society member – SCA class officer FAVORITE VERSE | Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” FUTURE PLANS I plan to attend Tidewater Community College and then transfer to Old Dominion(ODU) to further my academic studies; I would like to study nursing. LBBC has given me the chance to make meaningful and long-lasting relationships with amazing people who have helped me maintain a relationship with God, as well as provided me with the opportunity to volunteer as a student leader for the children at London Bridge. Zachary GAUCK Graduating from First Colonial High School Son of Nicholas and Tracy Gauck ACHIEVEMENTS – Cy Young award for Varsity Baseball – Advanced Placement classes – Community Service FAVORITE VERSE | Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. FUTURE PLANS I plan on attending the University of Kentucky in the Fall to study Physical Therapy. The long term plan would be to use my degree to assist athletes in training and rehabilitation. LBBC has taught me to stay focused on Jesus and God’s Word. I have learned to live without fear because God is always with me. I have learned to lead others due to the strength I have learned from God’s word. Madelyn Grace HARP Graduating from Ocean Lakes High School Daughter of David and Miranda Harp ACHIEVEMENTS – Ocean Lakes Varsity Volleyball (named Sportsman of the Season for senior year) – Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Latin Honor Society/Junior Classical League FAVORITE VERSE | Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. FUTURE PLANS I plan to attend Liberty University and major in Forensic Science. LBBC was where I began in my faith and learned how to love others. Tatyana Jeannette HUNT Graduating from Kellam High School Daughter of Pete and Ronda Spitzer ACHIEVEMENTS – Graduate with honors FAVORITE VERSE | 1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love. FUTURE PLANS Attend Tidewater Community College and study early childhood education and move on to a four year college. I eventually want to own my own daycare. LBBC has become my family and my safe place. I’ve met all of my closest friends through LBBC, and all the people I look up to attend LBBC. I grew up in this church, and I have been so blessed by the experiences and the people I’ve met throughout the years. LBBC has helped me become the woman I am today. Landry Thomas JOHNSON Graduating from Norfolk Christian High School Son of Tom and Janet Johnson ACHIEVEMENTS – Earned high honors all four years of high school. – Participated in and improved in various sports throughout high school. FUTURE PLANS I am going to James Madison University and plan on majoring in Engineering. LBBC has impacted my life through the amazing people and youth teachers that attend there. Listening to the great sermons every Sunday has helped me to have more wisdom and knowledge of God and has made me a better Christian. FUTURE PLANS I would like to take some courses at Tidewater Community College and potentially get into a public safety career. LBBC has helped me to grow closer in my walk with Christ and to understand more about his love for me. FAVORITE VERSE | 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. FUTURE PLANS I will attend Tidewater Community College in the Fall for a Fire Science Degree. Long term plans are to work for Virginia Beach Fire & Rescue. LBBC has given me a large family to talk to and grow in my faith. Jada Marie LOOMIS Graduating from Indian River High School Daughter of Danny & Stephanie Benson and Samuel Loomis ACHIEVEMENTS – Standard Diploma FAVORITE VERSE | 1 Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. FUTURE PLANS I plan to work full time after I graduate and possibly get a second job. I feel like LBBC has had a good impact on me so far even though I started coming here in December, but I honestly cannot wait to see more at LBBC.
