Trondheim Voices - Improvoicing Trondheim Soloist Ensemble of Improvising Singers Trondheim Voices is an improvising ensemble consisting of 9 vocalists, with roots to the creative improvisation environment in Trondheim. Since 2008 they have been one of MNJ’s main projects, along with their other main project, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. Trondheim Voices is working with the endless possibilities that exists within vocal improvisation and wishes to explore the edges of what can be done with the voice, to find new expressions and new music. Consisting of 9 individual soloists, Trondheim Voices wishes to develop what happens when the unique soloist quality of each singer is set to interact with eachother, and to find the collective sound and music that will originate in their actions. In 2008 they collaborated with Cirka Theatre with the visual performance ”Bingo!” in 2009 they had the premiere of the concert ”Improvoicing” at Molde Jazzfestival.
