If you have ideas to improve functions or operations, contact an Officer or Board Member with your feedback, thoughts, or concerns. All Members are encouraged to attend the FGP meetings listed in the Program Schedule, and to participate in the FGP’s many activities. See you there! BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The FGP Board is responsible for determining FGP policy and overseeing FGP proceedings, activities and finances. The FGP Board includes nine to twelve members. Each year up to four members are elected to three-year terms by the FGP membership. Following each annual election, the Board elects Board Officers. MEMBERSHIP: Membership in FGP is open to anyone at any time. Member privileges include free admission to FGP lectures, reduced fees for FGP workshops and tours, and voting in the election of the Board of Directors. Members are asked to support FGP activities and exhibitions by serving on at least one committee. The FGP Bylaws can be found on the FGP website (https://fiberartspgh.org). The FGP is a member Guild of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, a branch of Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Inc. (PF/PCA). All affiliated Guilds pay an an- nual organizational membership fee to PF/PCA. This organizational Guild membership entitles FGP members to a discounted individual membership to PF/PCA. Contact the PF/PCA website for individual membership details. — 4 — MEMBERSHIP DUES: Annual dues for Active Members are $45. Annual dues for Student Members (of all ages) are $20. Honorary membership is conferred by unanimous vote of the Board of Directors. Annual dues are payable on July 1 for all Members who have joined prior to March 31. Payment of dues can reinstate memberships that have lapsed. Dues can be paid on the FGP website by PayPal or credit card, or by check made payable to FGP of Pittsburgh and mailed to: The Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh, Attention of the Treasurer, 6300 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. WEBSITE: The member-friendly FGP website (https://fiberartspgh.org) is designed to make it easy for Members to stay informed about FGP activities, and to organize your fiber life. The website includes the following features: • Access to the most up-to-date information about upcoming FGP events. Check back frequently for information about events, changes to FGP programs, and last- minute news. • A detailed program calendar, which lists all upcoming FGP events, including work- shops, lectures, and meetings. • Information about upcoming FGP shows and exhibitions, and images and catalogs from past exhibitions. • Specific information about FGP committees, operating procedures and bylaws, and FGP Special Programs. • Members can join or renew membership on the Members page, and can see a list of all active Members and information about the FGP’s Special Interest Groups. • A Members-only area provides a complete member list with contact info, a news- letter archive, and a list of resources; the password for the restricted area changes annually, and is provided once dues are paid. • Members can share their accomplishments and experiences, showcase their work, and explore current trends in fiber on the Blog page; members are encouraged to comments and contribute. YAHOO GROUP: The FGP maintains an online discussion group for its Members on Yahoo. Using this discussion group, Members can discuss items of interest in your fiber life, ask questions about techniques, resources, and materials, let other Members know about current or upcoming exhibitions, or to simply start a discussion.
