It’s been said that the people of Norfolk have one foot on land, and one in the sea. Sweeping coastlines, fine sandy beaches, meandering waterways, and nature reserves make up much of the county. There’s plenty to do in the water, whilst there is also a lot of activities to get stuck into on land. Sea kayaking in North Norfolk North Norfolk has some of the most pristine natural coastline in the whole of England. The areas around Brancaster Staithe, Cley and Blakeney are perfect for sea kayaking. Starting off at Brancaster Staithe, ‘The Canoe Man’ (a local sea kayaking guru) can take you through winding channels from the sea and into some of Norfolk’s beautiful stretches of water. Details can be found below. The Canoe Man Tel: 0845 4969177 // 01603 783777 www.thecanoeman.com Windsurfing, kitesurfing & SUPing (Stand-Up Paddleboarding) At Hunstanton Watersports, perhaps Norfolk’s leading watersports company, you can learn to windsurf, kitesurf or SUP from highly trained and experienced teachers. The Norfolk Coast Cycleway goes from Kings Lynn through to Great Yarmouth and meanders through sleepy lanes and traffic free routes.
