Their portraits will be displayed on the Wall of Honor at Paris High School. Leslie Satcher is a fifth generation Texan who has been a songwriter for Sony ATV for over a decade. Her songs have been recorded by art- ists such as Joe Diffie, Sara Evans, Lee Ann Womack, Wade Hayes, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, George Strait, Jason Aldean and Willie Nelson just to name a few. Leslie performs all over the United States and is often found doing benefits with friends Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Paul Overstreet and others. Leslie has received a Grammy Award for Best Country Album of the Year “Troubadour” and a Grammy nomination for “Politically Uncorrect.” She has received two BMI “Million-Air” awards recognizing a song’s one millionth air- play and has a song prominently featured in the upcoming film "Thriftstore Cowboy" starring Kix Brooks as well as his current radio single, "Moonshine Road." The late Charles “Red” Scott was a business leader who was CEO of Roberts, Scott and Company Inc. in San Diego. He later became presi- dent of Intermark, Inc., a fortune 500 company, and then CEO of Fuqua Industries, a multi-billion-dollar NYSE Company. He was also owner and chairman of The Executive Committee of Florida, also known as Vistage Florida. He chaired the highly successful $100 Mil- lion “Fund for Greatness” for Scripps Memorial Hospital and was chairman of the San Diego Council of Boy Scouts of America. He re- ceived hundreds of awards during his lifetime including “The Norman Vincent Peale Award,” the “Horatio Alger Award for Distinguished Americans,” the 1990 California “Top 25 CEOs of the Decade,” and he was a 1973 California Museum of Science and Industry Honoree. The Distinguished Graduate Award is the highest and most prestigious award the District can bestow on its graduates.
