Cathedral of Brasilia Overview Photos ➢ The Cathedral of Brasilia is the Roman Catholic Cathedral serving Brasilia, Brazil, and serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Brasilia. It was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and projected by Brasilia structural engineer Joaquim Cardozo, and was completed and dedicated on May 31, 1970, the cathedral is a hyperboloid structure constructed from 16 concrete columns, weighing 90 tons each. ➢ Other notable elements of the Cathedral of Brasília include its Altar, which was donated by Pope Paul VI. The four bells in the cathedral’s bell tower, meanwhile, were donated by Spanish residents of Brazil. History and Descreption:- ➢ The corner stone was laid on September 15, 1958, The architecture of this Cathedral and the structure was finished on April 1, 1960, with only the roof structure visible above ground. Eugenio Salles on May 31, 1977, and the cathedral was declared a national historic and artistic monument on July 15, 1990. ➢ The walls of the cathedral are coverd with hand- painted ceramic tiles. Tantrotsav aims to bring together opportunities for our students to come forward and showcase their talents and maximize their visions in the practical approach of education, something that is very important in today’s dialect of the engineering community. Students actively participated in all the events and presented their work. The event consisted with a total of 16 events planned and organized at its best of quality. Focusing on the types of events to include in Tantrotsav was decided by co-ordinators, keeping the interest and need of the engineering student into consideration, with little emphasis on the fun full events behind the scenes. The events that were highlighted consisted of the following gists: IDEAZ CODE RED Coding to its terminal test with the use of C The ultimate disaster challenge where one programming and PYTHON. is said to work on disaster responses and therefore find effective solutions and ideas to risk management.
