By Her Excellency's Command, DAVID OWEN, Official Secretary PROCLAMATION By His Excellency THE HONOURABLE ALAN MICHAEL BLOW, Officer of the Order of Australia, Lieutenant- Governor of the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia WHEREAS by Letters Patent constituting the Office of Governor of the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia made at Hobart on 21 November 2005 under the Public Seal of the said State provision is made for the Lieutenant- Governor to assume and undertake the administration of the government of the said State in the event of a vacancy in the Office of Governor; the assumption by the Governor of the administration of the government of the Commonwealth of Australia; or the Governor, not having appointed a Deputy Governor, being for any reason unable to act as Governor AND WHEREAS by Commission given at Hobart on 8 April 2013 under the Public Seal of the said State I, THE HONOURABLE ALAN MICHAEL BLOW, Officer of the Order of Australia, was appointed Lieutenant-Governor of the said State AND WHEREAS there is a vacancy in the Office of Governor of the said State, arising from the completion of the term of office of PROFESSOR THE HONOURABLE KATE WARNER, Companion of the Order of Australia at midday on 9 June 2021. NOW THEREFORE I, THE HONOURABLE ALAN MICHAEL BLOW, Officer of the Order of Australia, Lieutenant-Governor of the said State having taken the Oaths directed by law to be taken by the Lieutenant-Governor in the manner prescribed do hereby notify and declare that, there being a vacancy in the Office of Governor of Tasmania, I shall undertake and assume the administration of the government of the said State and shall have and may exercise and perform all and singular the powers and functions of the Governor according to such Laws as are now or shall hereafter be in force in the said State.
