.22 LR Rimfire Benchrest (RFBR) Matches Pre-registration is required for all Matches via Member-Planet. This can be accomplished through the Member-Planet website or the BCGC website, under the “Schedule of Events” or “.22 RFBR” portals. Match Directors have the discretion to allow a non-registered shooter to participate. Welcome to BCGC’s .22 LR Rimfire Benchrest shooting competition. The matches are open to the public. Club membership not required. Three shooting classes: Sporter, Limited, Unlimited. Each have specific requirements. (Refer to the website for class specifics. Information found on a scheduled match date. Also located at the end of this Document. 2020 Match Date Schedule (Tuesdays) April 4 - May 12 - June 9 - July 14- - August 11 - September 15 PLEASE CHECK THE CLUB’S WEBSITE (bcgc.com) FOR ANY CHANGES TO THIS SCHEDULE BEFORE ATTENDING Match Fees $10.00 BCGC member $20.00 Public non-member Match fees are normally to be paid with a credit card using Member Planet found on website bcgc.com or .22 RFBR Match Registration If the use of Member Planet is not possible, please check with a Match Director. If the Match Director allows a non-registered shooter to participate, the payment will be cash, or a check made out to BCGC. The public non-member fee is ONLY for the match. For any additional shooting activities, the normal Adult/Family Day Pass fee(s) as set by the BCGC Board will apply. IBS Rimfire 50 Yard Target The RFBR competitors will compete using the IBS Rimfire 50-yard target. This target has 4 sighting in bullseyes at the top and 25 bulls below for record. During a timed stage for record (20 minutes), competitors are to place one shot in each of the 25 bulls, but also have the option to use the sight-in bulls at the top with unlimited sighters during the 20-minute stage. Range Accommodations The range has 13 shooting positions at 50 yards. Depending on the number of competitors attending a match, a second relay will begin immediately after the first 13 competitors have completed all their shots for record. Match Time Schedule Open practice and registration prior to 8:00 AM At 8:00 AM the range will shut down. All benches will be cleared. 8:00 AM Complete registration. (Range fees, drawing for bench assignments, relays, shooting class assignments and match specific range safety/protocol orientation). A jury of 3 shooters will be appointed before each match. Match All shots for record are shot at 50 yards The match will begin when all competitors have completed registration and are ready. Each additional stage will follow allowing for target replacement and 20 minutes for each. A time for competitors to clean their rifles, if desired, is permitted between stages after a called “Cold Range”. Upon completion of the match and after final scores are tallied, the top 3 highest scoring rifles in the Sporter Class and Limited Class are subject to inspection by the jury of 3 shooters. Awards presentation after completion of the match. Equipment • Any rifle chambered for the .22 LR cartridge having iron sights or scope is permitted. (Please refer to the Shooting Classes for specific class requirements) • Eye and ear protection • Rests appropriate for the shooting class • Empty chamber indicator (ECI) • Spotting scope, binoculars or rifle scope capable of seeing .22 LR rimfire holes at 50 yards Match Co-Directors John “jp” Perizzolo 303-838-9618 Del Befus 303-915-2064 **************************************************************** Shooting Classes Defined Sporter Class Any unmodified factory rifle having its original barrel, stock and trigger, chambered for the .22 LR cartridge meeting the following requirements is permitted. • Exclusions: o Factory triggers may be modified but not replaced. o Factory barrels may be set back, cut back, rechambered, and/or re-crowned, but must retain visible factory markings o Original Factory stocks may be glass bedded, barrels may be free floated, and sling swivel studs may be removed. • Unmodified factory rifles (with exclusions) and scope shall not weigh more than 8 pounds. • No barrel attachments. • No limit on scope magnification. • Two-piece rests only o Rests may not be attached. o Rests may be placed upon a shooting bench but not attached Limited Class • Any rifle chambered for the .22 LR cartridge meeting the following requirements is permitted o No rifle/scope weight limits o No limit on scope magnification o No dimensional restrictions to barrel or stock § Factory barrels only, no aftermarket or custom barrels § Any/all barrel attachments permitted • Two-piece rests only o Rests may not be attached o Rests may be placed upon a shooting bench but not attached Unlimited Class • All Limited Class requirements noted above, apply to the Unlimited Class with exceptions o One-piece rests (recommended/preferred) or two-piece rests (competitor option) are used o Limited production rifles such as (but not limited to) Coopers and Bleikers, that use aftermarket barrels such as Shilen, Lija, Krieger, Wilson, etc. will shoot in the Unlimited Class All Classes When a CEASE FIRE, or COLD range is called, or when a competitor finishes their stage before time is called, competitors will remove magazines, remove or open bolts and insert an empty chamber indicator (ECI) into their rifle’s chamber. Competitors will move behind the firing line and wait for further instructions. .
