Moderator: Young journalist, Phoenix TV Panel participants: 1) Craig Kielburger, Co-founder of ME TO WE and Free The Children 2) Shi Yongxin, 30th Abbot of Shaolin Temple, Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China 3) Daniel Rondeau, French writer, UNU representative to UNESCO 4) Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation, Professor of the University of Alberta, Canada 5) Good practice sharing: Luke Dowdney, Founder and Director of Fight for Peace 12:00-13:30 Lunch 13:30-15:00 Session Two: Sport for Social Inclusion Discussions will focus on sports as a socially integrative force and the conveyor of values of peace, particularly among youth, placing specific accent on the use and role of sport in urban areas. Moderator: Bai Yansong, CCTV anchor Panel participants: 1) Ana-Luz Thirifays, International Development Manager, Peace and Sport – Monaco 2) Stephanie AU, Olympic Swimmer, Young Ambassador of NYOG 3) Good practice sharing: Honey Thaljieh, Former Captain, Palestine Women’s National Football Team 4) Good practice sharing: Cynthia Coredo, Young leader, BoxGirls Kenya project 5) Good practice sharing: Xin Fu, Founder of China Mushroom Manor 15:00-15:15 Tea Break 15:15-16:45 Session Three: Heritage and Creativity for Sustainable Development Discussions will focus on the contribution of culture to community development and dialogue, through the promotion and protection of intangible and city heritage, and through actions fostering creativity and innovation. Moderator: Li Bo, Professor of Nanjing Normal University, Curator of Jiangningzhizao museum Panel participants: 1) Miranda Kiuri, Doctor in Architecture, University of Liège (on Olympic legacy and heritage) 2) Zhang Jun, Kunqu Opera actor , UNESCO Artist for Peace 3) Shao Yong, Professor of Tongji University (College of Architecture and Urban Planning), Professor of the UNESCO World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region 4) Good practice sharing: Wang Danqing, International Youth Volunteer program coordinator and World Heritage Volunteer team leader, Chinese Society of Education Training Center 16:45-17:00 Tea Break 17:00-17:30 Closing Ceremony MC: Xu Ning, President of Nanjing International Culture Exchanges Association Speakers: 1) Reading of Nanjing Initiative, by youth representatives from Nanjing 2) Miao Ruilin, Mayor of Nanjing 3) Hans d’Orville, Assistant Director-General for Strategic Planning, UNESCO 4) Photo taking with officials and participants 18:00-19:30 Banquet 20:00-21:00 Boat tour on Qinhuai River The Nanjing Initiative, to be drafted by youth, will include recommendations in the fields of sports, culture and peace, and will launch a call for projects as a concrete follow-up to this first edition. It will also announce the continuity of the Forum and the nature of its biennial editions. .
