From the East (Thronton-le-dale and Scarborough direction) If you are heading from the East on the A170 towards Pickering: • Drive through Pickering and go straight over the roundabout. • At the first set of traffic lights take a right towards Newton-Upon- Rawcliffe. • You will pass the steam railway on the left. • Follow the road through Newton-Upon-Rawcliffe and carry on into Stape. • Drive through Stape, and at the ford, turn right onto Heads Road (signposted Cropton Forest Lodge). • Follow the road and at the next T-Junction, turn right (signposted Cropton Forest Lodge). • Follow the road for 1 mile and it brings you into the car park. From the South (Malton and York direction) If you are heading from the South on the A169 towards Pickering: • Drive into Pickering and go left at the roundabout. • At the first set of traffic lights take a right towards Newton-Upon- Rawcliffe. • You will pass the NYM steam railway station on the left. • Follow the road through Newton-Upon-Rawcliffe and carry on into Stape. • Drive through Stape, and at the ford, turn right onto Heads Road (signposted Cropton Forest Lodge). • Follow the road and at the next T-Junction, turn right (signposted Cropton Forest Lodge). • Follow the road for 1.5 miles and it brings you into the car park.
