Hello Edmonton attendees; Thank you for joining us at the first of our two seasonal markets. The WCSA is proud to facilitate shows and provide a venue for our regional buyers and sellers to work. Originally nicknamed “the boot show” we now have so much more to offer, with over 280 brands of footwear and accessories listed in this book and available to view. Please use the guide to plan your show. In some areas of western Canada our business continues to be interesting and the outcomes of weather, economy and changing consumer habits affect everyone throughout the distribution chain. We may find ourselves working harder or smarter or differently these days. In many ways, we are in competition but allies at the same time, in this I am glad that we have an outstanding community of members, associates and retail experts to draw upon, Everyone helps to make our shows successful (our common cause). We are now passing through the last of winter heading towards the incoming spring season and projecting needs for the upcoming fall winter 2017 season! This is an abstract concept for non-industry people to understand, and ours to be excited about!
