Day 5 Monmouth to Clun 58 miles Garmin file https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/40484948 Elevation Gain: 1052m / 3451ft Overview This is perhaps the easiest day’s ride of the tour. It is the shortest in terms of mileage although there are still a number of ups and downs along the way so still not easy. Navigation is easy until to Hereford and after Hereford you will need to check your route notes more often as we wend through the quiet Shropshire country lanes. Today is also one of the most scenic days with many hidden gems. Practical Notes • There is a hill away from Monmouth and the road to Hereford is undulating. • This is the shortest day in terms of mileage although there are still a number of ‘undulations’. • Lunch is at 36 miles.
