The minimum you can borrow is £100 (monthly repayment of £10), and the maximum is £25,000 (monthly payment £2500), and we ask for a minimum 10% deposit (refunded once application approved). Own Art loans can be used to cover a group of lower value items, or to cover up to £25,000 of a higher priced item provided you can cover the balance with a credit/debit card or in cash. It is not possible to apply for more than one Own Art loan to cover the cost of a single artwork. It takes just 15 minutes to apply for Own Art. Please speak to our Front of House team to learn more. Own Art is an Arts Council England initiative operated by Creative United, a registered trademark of Creative Sector Services CIC, a Community Interest Company, in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and our credit provider Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance. To view or purchase an artwork on our website, simply scan this QR code. 2 How To Buy Artworks PRICE INFORMATION All prices are listed on the labels under each work, along with artist’s name, title, medium and edition size where appropriate. MULTIPLES – PRINTS AND CAST SCULPTURE Prints, photographs and some sculptures may be produced in editions. For example, an etching may be numbered 1/10 in the lower left corner. This would mean that it is the first in an edition of 10. If you require further information please ask one of our gallery stewards or a member of our Front of House team. MAKING A PURCHASE Sales can be made via our Front of House team which is located at the Welcome Desk in the foyer on the ground floor, or via our website (rwa.org.uk). If you wish to buy an artwork (either outright or on OwnArt) or to place a deposit on a work to reserve it, please go to the Welcome Desk with the artist’s name and catalogue number and a member of our Front of House team will process payment for your purchase and issue a sales receipt. If you prefer, you may pay in full online – just visit the website and follow the links to buy your chosen piece: rwa.org.uk/shop168 SALES Sold works are indicated in the gallery by a red dot alongside the artwork’s label. Dots are placed as soon as possible, and sales are indicated immediately online. In the case of work for which there are multiples, a standard red dot indicates the exhibited work has been sold and smaller red dots indicate that others in the edition have been sold. PAYMENT Cash, cheque, RWA vouchers, debit or credit cards are all accepted at the Welcome Desk, or payment may be made online. You may pay either the full amount up front or make a deposit of 10% or more of the full price, and pay off the remaining balance at a later date before the end of the exhibition. Alternatively, you can spread payments over 10 months by using the Own Art scheme, which offers an interest-free loan of up to £25000, with no administration charge or handling fee. A member of staff can provide you with full details of the scheme.
