Cardiff Council – launch of ‘See pink and stop and think’ waste campaign! 2nd March Check link on https://www.cardiffnewsroom.co.uk/releases/c25/23119.html?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_c ampaign=SocialSignIn&utm_content=Pink+Sticker According to our council workers – the worst culprits for waste is food not going in food caddies, babies nappies going in normal waste bags (should be yellow bags) and textiles going in wrong bags too!! Find out more here: socsi.in/aD03M #seepinkstopandthink When you put the wrong things in the wrong green bags / caddies / regular waste bags – the council staff will leave sticker on your waste bags and an automatic letter will be sent out to your home. The new campaign will see bright pink stickers placed on recycling and garden waste bags or bins alerting residents that they contain incorrect items. If a pink sticker is put onto a container, residents will have to take their waste back into their property to remove the incorrect items before they put their recycling out again on the next collection date. Find outmore here. Incorrect presentation of waste and recycling may result in a fixed penalty notice of up to £100. However, before it gets to this point you'll see a pink sticker on recycling bags that have been presented incorrectly. We're asking that if people see pink, we want you to stop and think. This scheme will be rolled out from 2ndMarch 2020. SHARE CARDIFF All contributors are responsible for their own Content, images and contact points.
