TUBACHRISTMAS 2019 DES MOINES, IOWA Saturday, December 21, 2019 Conductor: Gary McCurdy Attention: Tuba, Sousaphone, Euphonium, and Baritone players. Please come join the fun at our Annual Des Moines Area TUBACHRISTMAS. ALL ages and skill levels are welcome. SATURDAY’S SCHEDULE 10:00 AM – Registration: Plymouth Church , 4126 Ingersoll Ave, Des Moines, Iowa 11:00 AM – Rehearsal: Plymouth Church 12:15 PM – Lunch: on your own 2:00 PM – Performance: Plymouth Church WHERE TO GO Registration and case storage will be at Plymouth Church, Waveland Hall. The rehearsal and concert will take place in the sanctuary. Map and directions can be found online. There is a parking lot and ramp directly east of the church, as well as available street parking nearby. WHAT TO BRING • Music stand • Music: Carols for a Merry TubaChristmas book (Books will be available for purchase during registration or online for $20-25 if you don’t already have one … same book as previous years.) • Your instrument (tuba, sousaphone, euphonium, baritone, ophecleide, serpent, etc.) • Towel or rag for water valve discharge. • A $10 tax deductible fee is due at registration. WHAT TO WEAR • Dress is casual. • Santa hats and other festive holiday attire or accessories are encouraged. • Feel free to decorate your instrument as well (lights, garland, gift wrap, etc.). • Official TubaChristmas hats and scarves will also be available for purchase at registration. • Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories. PRE-REGISTRATION Please let us know in advance that you will be coming. This will make sure we have enough buttons, music, chairs, etc. for everyone.
