The vessel, CMA CGM Trocadero, is 399.9 meters in length, 61.3 meters in width, and is currently the world's largest duel-fuel container ship. CMA CGM has been at the forefront of the shipping industry's adoption of LNG as a fuel to reduce GHG emissions. The company reported a 4% overall reduction in its CO2 emissions in 2020. The container line said it had reduced emissions per teu/km travelled by 49% over 2008 levels, with a target of reducing emissions by 50% by 2030. The line also plans to offer a biomethane-fuelled shipping service.
