Statue of Unity, India The Statue of Unity in India, at 182 meters is the tallest statue in the world. It was a tribute to one of the founding fathers and the first Home Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary on 31st October 2018. The building of this statue costed Rs. 2,989 crore. It took approximately 42 months to be built. 3,400 labourers and 250 engineers were required to complete this project. 2. Spring Temple Buddha, China In the second place is the Spring Buddha Temple statue, which measures 153 meters tall. The construction of this statue was started by the government of China in 1997 and it was completed in 2008. The structure of this statue has 1100 pieces of the copper cast and it stands on a 20-meter long lotus throne. This statue was named after the hot spring situated near the structure. The statue represents the Vairocana Buddha and the whole statue was constructed using gold, copper and steel. 3. Laykyun Setkyar, Myanmar The Laykyun Setkyar statue, a statue of Buddha, is situated in Myanmar. It has the height of 116 meters and ranks 3rd on the list of the tallest statues in the world. This statue's construction was started by the Myanmar government in 1996 and was completed in 2008. This statue has a unique feature of having an elevator inside the statue. This allows the tourists to reach the top of the statue and enjoy the beautiful view of the city. 4. Ushiku Daibutsu, Japan The next statue on the list is also a statue of Lord Buddha. The Ushiku Daibutsu statue is 110 meters tall. 'Ushiku Daibutsu' means the Great Buddha in Ushiku. There is a beautiful garden that envelopes the area and makes it even more fascinating. 5. Sendai Daikannon, Japan This statue, although 5th tallest in the world, is the tallest statue of Nyoirin Kannon in the world, and the tallest statue of a goddess in Japan.
