The restoration now needs $45,000 to get the boat survey ready and there is a givealittle webpage for anyone wishing to donate. Marine artist David Barker has painted a depiction of the 'Kate' under sail with her youth crew to help with fundraising. A limited run of 100 prints of the painting have been made available for $225 each. Once all prints are sold a drawing will be held and the winner will receive the original framed oil painting.
