MEASURING SPOONS Fact Sheet

MEASURING SPOONS Fact Sheet The Eatright Liverpool team encourages you to use measuring spoons when you prepare your meals. Measuring spoons will help you to reduce the amount of salt and fat you add to meals and ensure consistency of the nutritional quality of your meals. If you use measuring spoons you can be sure that every time you cook your meals, you will add a similar amount of fat and salt, thus your meals will be consistent. Using spoons will also help maintain the correct balance of your ingredients and help to ensure that your meals taste good. It is well known that adding too much salt can make a meal taste salty or too much vinegar can make a meal too bitter. If you do not use measuring spoons try to ensure that you can measure your ingredients accurately and consistently. This will help to ensure that fat and salt are not added inadvertently.
