Lennon and McCartney haVe the most recognizable and '- Roger Daltrey, lead. Daltrey has incredibly stirring vocals. greatest vocal sounds ever. It's the Beatles reunited. Listen to "Baba O'Riley" or "Behind Blue Eyes" and you can fee/ the passion. His voice remains unparalleled in rock and roll. From The Who. Piano: Jim Morrison, back-up. Not as good as Daltrey, but his smooth, Elton John. The great piano-playing rocker. Debate amongst yourselves now it's bass-now it's tenor, eloquent voice was incredible. He about which one is better: The Rocketman or the Piano Man . had a voice like a Shakespeare actor. From The Doors. Bass Guitar: Piano: . Flea. The greatest bassist ever. The most recognizable bassist ever. To Billy Joel·. Debate amongst yourselves as to who's better, but be the most recognizable person in your band and to be a bassist is say- why waste your time. I'm not taking anything away from Elton ing something. John--he's great. But nothing he ever did came close to "Piano Man" or "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant." Solo. Organ: Rick Wright. The sounds of Pink Floyd must be attributed to this man. Bass Guitar: All the sounds that Roger Waters worked with were on the organ. All those spacey sounds are the credit of this man. John Entwhistle. In a thankless'job, Entwhistle shines. He's the Father of the Modern Bassist. Saxophone: Organ: Leroi Moore. The soft beautiful sound of·Dave Matthew$' saxophone. He takes the essence of the song and puts it in his sax. What a sound. Ray Manzarek. I know. You're asking, "Organ?" Listen to "Light My Fire" if you doubt this man's genius. Without Manzarek, Morrison wouldn't have shined. From The Doors. Saxophone: Clarence Clemmons. Clarence augmented the passion that Bruce's lyrics evoked.
