Welcome to our Extended Diploma Open Day Thank you for booking your place on an open day at Leeds Arts University — the only specialist arts university in the North of England! We have designed our open days to ensure that you get a full picture of what it’s like to study here, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Arrival & Registration Please arrive at our Vernon Street building and register by giving your name to the student ambassador on the reception desk. Refreshments will be available in the café before the talk starts. The open day lasts up to 2 hours. Course Talk This is the main talk of the open day and it is delivered by the course team in the lecture theatre. The talk will start promptly at your booking time (6.30pm on Wednesdays, or 11am and 12pm on Saturdays). The talk lasts an hour and gives you a thorough overview of the philosophy of the course, the diagnostic process and the pathways you can select in your creative discipline, and further study options after completing the course. Workshop & Studio Tour Immediately after the course talk you will be taken on a tour of our award-winning workshops and to see the studio spaces where you will study. The tour is led by our student ambassadors and lasts around 30 minutes. Q&A with Course Tutors You are able to ask any questions you have to the tutors and student ambassadors either after the course talk in the lecture theatre or after your workshop tour. Student Ambassadors Our team of friendly and passionate student ambassadors are available to share their first-hand experience about what studying here is like. They can share detailed insights about what you will study on your course and give tours of our workshops and studios. They can also talk to you about travelling to Leeds, their experience of leaving school to study at a university and places to go in Leeds. Attending with guests You are welcome to bring up to two guests with you to the open day. We kindly ask you to bring no more due to limited space in our lecture theatre.
