Minutes of Tilston Parish Council Extraordinary Meeting held Virtually, 4th June 2020 PRESENT Councillors Chairman – Mike Hearn Mark Bickley Penny Honeyborne Nicola Prince Gill Putnam Neil Ritchie Sue Willett Non-Parish Councillors Public – 4 APOLOGIES Cllr. Munro – personal reasons. DECLARATION OF INTERESTS No interests were declared. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION The applicant for application 20/01653/FUL offered to answer any questions relating to the application. Cllr Putnam confirmed she had visited the site of the application. PLANNING 20/01517/FUL, Conversion of equestrian building into two dwellings with associated infrastructure and parking at The Stables, Duckington Lane, Tilston, Malpas, SY14 7DU. RESOLVED 20/636 – That Tilston Parish Council strongly objects to this application on the following grounds: The Application is contrary to Strat 9 of the Cheshire West & Chester Local Plan Part 1 as it is in the Open Countryside. The application is contrary to policy DM 22 of the Cheshire West & Chester Local Plan Part 2. The building is not currently redundant or disused. The proposed development would require major reconstruction and is therefore beyond that which is reasonably associated with a conversion. The existing building is of no architectural merit and the proposed development raises the roofline of the building increasing the harmful visual impact of the building. The proposed scheme and associated domestic development and paraphernalia would further erode the open and intrinsic character and beauty of the open countryside in that location and would not result in an enhancement to the immediate setting. 20/01653/FUL, Erection of one worker’s dwelling at Land at Old Hall Farm, Stretton Hall Lane, Stretton. RESOLVED 20/637 – That Tilston Parish Council strongly supports to this application on the following grounds: The application is in accord with Strat 9 of the Cheshire West & Chester Local Plan Part 1 as it will provide an agricultural worker’s dwelling for an established agricultural business. The application is in accord with ENV 6 of the Cheshire West & Chester Local Plan Part 1as the proposed building respects the character of the area through appropriate design and is sympathetic to the surrounding landscape and environment. The application is in accordance with policy DM 6 of the Cheshire West & Chester Local Plan Part 2. The siting of the proposal dwelling minimises its impact on the landscape. The proposed dwelling is of appropriate in scale, design, materials and landscaping so not to harm the character of the countryside or the amenity of nearby residents. 233 Signed ………………………..
