THERE ARE 17 ORDERS GIVING EFFECT TO RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM THE DISTRICT REVIEWS MADE BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE UNDER SECTION 9 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND RATING ACT 1997. 2. THERE ARE 5 ORDERS GIVING EFFECT TO RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM PETITIONS MADE TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE UNDER SECTION 11 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND RATING ACT 1997. 1. Orders giving effect to recommendations resulting from district reviews made to the Secretary of State under section 9 of the Local Government and Rating Act 1997. *indicates that the local authority has been directed by the Secretary of State to establish a parish council. THE ALLERDALE (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 2464 This Order transferred part of the parish of Brigham to the parish of Cockermouth. The Order was made on 22 September 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE AMBER VALLEY (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 1939 This Order transferred areas between the parishes of Belper, Codnor, Duffield, Heanor and Loscoe, Holbrook, Horsley, Ironville, Kilburn, Ripley and Shipley. The Order was made on the 25 July 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. 5 Bulletin of changes to local authority areas and names in England *THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 116 This Order created a new parish called Rooksdown and directed the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order was made on 16 January 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE BROMSGROVE (PARISH) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 3026 This Order transferred part of an unparished area to the parish of Stoke Prior. The Order was made on 21 November 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE BURNLEY (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 214 This Order transferred areas between the parishes of Briercliffe, Cliviger, Hapton, Ightenhill, Padiham, Worsthorne-with-Hurstwood and an unparished area. The Order was made on 27 January 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE COLCHESTER (PARISH) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 841 This Order transferred the parish ward of Cherry Tree from the parish of East Donyland to an unparished area. The Order was made on 18 March 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE COTSWOLD (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 2337 This Order transferred part of the parish of Coln St Aldwyns to the parish of Hatherop. The Order was made on 29 August 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE KENNET (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 3025 This Order abolished the parishes of North Tidworth and South Tidworth and created a new parish called Tidworth. The Order directed the Kennet District Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order also transferred areas between the parishes of Collingbourne Ducis, Fittleton, Ludgershall and Tidworth. The Order was made on 21 November 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE KETTERING (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 687 This Order transferred part of the parish of Cransley to create a new parish called Mawsley. The Order directed the Kettering Borough Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order was made on 8 March 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. 6 Changes effected by Order of the Secretary of State under the Local Government and Rating Act 1997 THE NEWARK AND SHERWOOD (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 3024 This Order transferred areas between the parishes of Bilsthorpe, Carlton-on-Trent, Collingham, Edwinstowe, Farnsfield, Langford, Ollerton and Boughton, Rufford and Winthorpe. The Order was made on 21 November 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 2911 This Order created a new parish called Ashby Parkland and directed the North Lincolnshire District Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order was made on 10 November 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE PETERBOROUGH (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 995 This Order abolished the parish of Stanground North and transferred areas between the parishes of Deeping Gate, Eye, Maxey, Newborough, Orton Longueville and an unparished area. The Order was made on 29 March 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE SOUTH CAMBRIDGESHIRE (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 399 This Order created a new parish called Cambourne and directed the South Cambridgeshire District Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order also transferred areas between the parishes of Bourn, Caxton and Knapwell. The Order was made on 17 February 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE SOUTH NORTHAMPTONSHIRE (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 2804 This Order created a new parish called Alderton and directed the South Northamptonshire District Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order was made on 31 October 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE STRATFORD-ON-AVON (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 1001 This Order created five new parishes called Arrow with Weethley, Clifford Chambers and Milcote, Lighthorne Heath, Mappleborough Green and Wilmcote. The Order directed the Stratford-on-Avon District Council to establish a parish council for the new parishes. The Order was made on 29 March 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE UTTLESFORD (PARISHES) ORDER 2003 – S.I. 2003 NO. 2407 This Order created a new parish called Sewards End and directed the Uttlesford District Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order also transferred 7 Bulletin of changes to local authority areas and names in England areas between the parishes of Birchanger, Great Hallingbury, Hatfield Broad Oak, Little Chesterford, Little Hallingbury, Newport, Saffron Walden, Stansted Mountfitchet, Takeley and Widdington. The Order was made on 11 September 2003 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. THE WYCOMBE (PARISH) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 997 This Order transferred areas between the parish of Downley and an unparished area. The Order was made on 29 March 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. 2. Orders giving effect to recommendations resulting from petitions made to the Secretary of State under section 11 of the Local Government and Rating Act 1997. *indicates that the local authority has been directed by the Secretary of State to establish a parish council. *THE BEDFORD (PARISH) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 479 This Order created a new parish called Brickhill. The Order directed the Bedford Borough Council to establish a parish council for the new parish. The Order was made on 20 February 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE BRADFORD (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 688 This Order created four new parishes called Clayton, Sandy Lane, Wilsden and Wrose. The Order directed the Bradford District Council to establish parish councils for the new parishes. The Order was made on 8 March 2004 and came into effect on 1 April 2004. *THE LEEDS (PARISHES) ORDER 2004 – S.I. 2004 NO. 548 This Order created three new parishes called Drighlington, Gildersome and Kippax.
