Reach our Outreach & Admissions team at: 8130299439 | www.ashoka.edu.in Welcome letter Dear Friends, On behalf of all the members on the various IC3 committees, I welcome you to New Delhi for the third edition of the Annual IC3 Conference. Just as we had envisioned, what began in 2016 as a conference has grown into a movement today. The IC3 Movement represents giving, service, access, inclusion, diversity, innovation and sustenance. We were always clear that we did not want to be host one glamorous conference, but to bring change on the ground – inside schools – and we are progressing rapidly on this path. We have made progress on all three fronts – 1. Sensitizing our community on the criticality and need of career and college counseling function in schools, 2. Glamorising the profession so enough young people choose teaching and counseling, and 3. Developing human resources that will help run counseling departments in schools. In 2018, through the IC3 Regional Forums, the IC3 committees ramped up their effort for inclusion and access. We held 18 IC3 Regional Forums (compared to nine IC3 Regional Forums in 2017) across 14 cities in India and South Asia, three cities in South East Asia and one in the Middle East. The response from the community has been overwhelming with host schools opening their gates and hearts to host the local principals, teachers, counselors and the visiting university guests for an entire day. This momentum will continue in 2019 with 30 IC3 Regional Forums from January through May. The launch of the IC3 Institute in 2018 is another important milestone in our journey to help train career and college counselors. A one-year certificate program is now available to aspiring counselors at NO cost. We are grateful to our university partners and sponsors for supporting this initiative which is in the early stages of our 15-year plan to positively impact 175,000+ high schools in the region. 2018 has also been a year of consolidation and I am happy to share that the new website of the IC3 Movement has been launched with the three key IC3 constituents – the Annual IC3 Conference, the IC3 Regional Forums and the IC3 Institute. This year, the Annual IC3 Conference has grown to over 700 attendees from 25+ countries. We have an exciting conference planned with 40+ sessions and adequate opportunities to network with educators from around the world. You can also enjoy all the special performances and entertainment that our host schools’ students have planned for you. Finally, all of this progress would not have been possible without the countless hours spent by dozens of volunteers on IC3 committees, in conducting outreach, planning, evaluating content and hosting events. If you see a person with the “COMMITTEE MEMBER” (sky blue color) ribbon on their lanyard, do take a moment to thank them for making a difference. I would also encourage you to stop by the IC3 Pavilion to find out how you can get involved with the IC3 Movement. As we say in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit, “Atithi Devo Bhava”, i.e. “Guest is God”. We truly appreciate your presence at the Annual IC3 Conference and welcome you to a week full of learning, networking and sharing. In gratitude, Warmly, Ganesh Kohli IC3 Conference Chair 2018 Annual International Career & College Counseling (IC3) Conference | 29-30 August 2018 | New Delhi 1 Tablecontents of 5 10 46 Conference Basics Sessions: 29 August Host Schools 6 16 50 Schedule At-A-Glance Sessions: 30 August Conference Sponsors 8 22 56 Inauguration + Keynote Speaker Profiles Conference Partners 44 60 Closing + IC3 Awards Conference Committees 2018 Annual International Career & College Counseling (IC3) Conference | 29-30 August 2018 | New Delhi 3 Post-study visa option Study abroad opportunities at 180 partner universities Affordable, safe & friendly city 1000 International students from 90 countries Internationally recognized Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in English Art & Design, Business & Economics, Communication and Tourism programs “Design is a culturally influenced aspect.
