At our monthly Sunday lunch they were presented with a bottle of wine from the Recreation Committee Sunday Lunch staff and a filled planter from Worlaby Thursday Group to mark this special anniversary. Congratulations to you both from of Time The Passage everyone in Worlaby. Mel Adcock Winding the Church Clock For over 10 years, Bill Hindle has been responsible for winding up the clock mechanism every six days in St Clement’s Church and he has now retired from this role and sadly, moved out of Worlaby. Thankfully, Bobby Smithson, Tony Hayes and Justin Greaves are now sharing this task. Every time I hear the bells, not only do I acknowledge the time but also recall the efforts put in by people in the past to ensure that this feature of Worlaby life is not lost and I’m sure that there are many people in the Village who feel the same. You may have seen their white cats sitting like ornaments in their front windows. Justin lived with his parents Val and Dave at the bottom of ‘The Hill’ until he left to pursue a musical career about 25 years ago. Belinda was born in Australia to Croatian parents but aged six moved to Sweden where she is now a naturalised citizen. They met when Belinda who had already released a solo CD sang on one of Justin’s albums with his band Crippled Black Phoenix. They have a new project together under the old Anglo Saxon name Se Delan with a release date of April 14th for their new album The Fall. Justin wrote the music as he does with his own band, playing almost all of the instruments, with Belinda supplying and singing the lyrics. The ten tracks were recorded at the highly regarded Chapel Studios near Louth and is released on the K-Scope label. One of the tracks plus various snippets can be heard at ‘soundcloud.com’ and the first single came out in March. They will be playing dates in London when the album is launched with a lengthier tour planned for later in the year. The pair have a busy period coming up, as Justin’s own band’s new album White Light Generator was released on CD and vinyl on March 17th to great reviews. As with their previous six releases, Justin has written all the music for the seven-piece band’s latest, with Chapel again being the studio of choice where the complex there is built around an old chapel attracting many top artists with its unique sound.
