Whilst I appeciate the need for extra housing in general, where there is a "village" such as Charfield, careful thought needs to be given to development. If we want a viable village in the future we need genuine "affordable" houses. As a matter 2 of interest, what is "affordable" in Charfield? I strongly believe that most new development in Charfield should be for the young families to keep the village alive and the school open. Make sure new homes have sound proofing to avoid issues. Think about transport. I hate trying to get out of New Road to turn righr to Thornbury - if I am late, it can take 10 minutes to get out.
