Singer-songwriter Kimmie Rhodes is a native Texan who calls Austin home. A creative and prolific artist, she has recorded and released a total of sixteen solo CDs to critical acclaim in publications worldwide, including Vogue and Oxford American Magazine. USA Today included her album “West Texas Heaven” in their Top Ten of the Year. She has written and produced three musical plays and a catalogue of hundreds of songs, many of which have appeared in major motion picture soundtracks. Kimmie’s multi-platinum selling songs have been recorded by such stellar acts as Willie Nelson, Wynonna Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Amy Grant, CeCe Winans, Joe Ely, Waylon Jennings, Peter Frampton, Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. She attributes much of that success to her affiliation with Rondor Publishing International. Together with Willie Nelson she recorded two of her originals for his album “Just One Love” and they co-produced their duet album, “Picture in a Frame.” Kimmie’s promotional tours created a solid fan base in the UK, Ireland and Europe. She has headlined with her band at festivals all over the world and has appeared on many European and American TV and radio broadcasts including Late Night with David Letterman, Austin City Limits, BBC Documentary “Back To Beth’s” and “Bob Harris Country Sessions” on BBC Radio 2. Kimmie is currently serving as an associate producer for a documentary, "They Called Us Outlaws" to be presented by the Country Music Hall Of Fame In Nashville, TN., a trilogy of feature length films to be dedicated in memory of Joe Gracey and Waylon Jennings (produced and directed by Eric Geadelman) slated for release Spring 2018 with a museum exhibit and related events to follow. She is also starring with Jaston Williams in a theatrical production, "Is There Life After Lubbock, completing a book of memoirs, "Radio Dreams" and working with Bob Harris & Gabriel Rhodes, co-producing a radio documentary and retrospective album based on her musical life with Austin legend, Joe Gracey. For the past year Kimmie has been touring in support of her current release of all new original songs titled "Cowgirl Boudoir" with shows which included a sold out concert at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (Strathclyde Suite) for The Celtic Connections Festival and the 2016 C2C festival in London. She recently attended The Chris Difford's Songwriting Retreat at Pennard House in Glastonbury, hosted by The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation where she helped launch " The Church Keys" series presented by Dave Stewart and hosted by Bob Harris, debuting her new "song of the week" and opening the show with "Raining In My Heart" written by Buddy Holly, her hometown hero from Lubbock Texas. In November 2015 WBBC filmed a production “Back To Kimmie’s” hosted by Kimmie at her studio in Austin, featuring some of Austin’s finest singer- songwriters.
