LOUISE I KOWALCZYK Louise (Kolb) Kowal­ czyk of Maynard, OH, went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on April 23, 2016, at Har­ rison County Home. She was born March 3, 1929 at her family’s farm, the daughter of the late Philip and Mary Ringwald Kolb Sr. She was a wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed singing, playing piano, crocheting and mak­ ing crafts. She was a lifelong mem­ ber of Maynard Methodist Church, where over the years she served as pianist, treasurer, Pastoral Rela­ tions Committee member. Vacation Bible School teacher and Methodist Youth Fellowship co­ leader. In addition to her par­ ents, she was preceded in death by Edward J. Kowal- czyk, her husband of 57 years; her sisters, Elizabeth Sikora, Katherine Kuckuck, Dorothy Kolb, Carrie Marie Worthington; and brothers, James, Louis, Philip Jr., George, Earl, Fred, and William Kolb; as well as infant siblings, Emmett and Wilma Kolb. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Rick) Stepputtis, and Sheila Kowalczyk; and a sister, Emma Kinsey. Visitation will be Tues­ day 5-7 p.m. at Tooth- man’s Funeral Home, St, Clairsville. Funeral service at Maynard Methodist Church, Wednesday 1 1 a.m., with Pastor A1 Hoder officiating. There will be additional visitation at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Maynard Methodist Church. KOWALCZYK, Peter Paul, 84, formerly of South Wheeling, and the Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 in the Ohio Valley Med­ ical Center, Wheeling. Peter was born April 21, 1922 in Wheeling, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Catherine Sobutka. He was a retired employee of the former Marx Toy Facto­ ry of Wheeling; a member of the. former St. Ladisalus Catholic Church, Wheeling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother. John; and sisters, Josephine Garvonic, Helen Sulkowski, Stella Malizia, and Mary George. Survivors include two sis­ ters, Dorothy George and her husband, Loreto, of Barberton, Ohio, and Michaeline Custer of Wheeling; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from Noon until time of services at 1 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 36th and Jacob Street, South Wheel- ing. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Kowalczyk, 78, Citrus Heights, Calif., formerly of May-, nard, died Thursday-Jan. 16, JTQQ77 in Mercy General Hospital, Sacramento, Calif. He was born Oct. 1, 1918 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Joseph Kowalczyk and Anna Lojas Kowalczyk Oszkinick. He was a retired employee of Oglebay-Norton Co., Saginaw Mine, St. Clairsville, a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Maynard, Polish National Alliance, Maynard American Legion and an Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Anthony Oszkinick; a brother, Joseph Kowalczyk; a sister, Blanche Spisak. Surviving are his wife, Clara Mihalic Kowalczyk; two daughters, Linda Johnson of Carmichael, Calif., and Mary Ann Brubach of Citrus Heights; two brothers, Ben and Edward, both of Maynard; two sisters, Helen Mihalic and Ann Soukup, both of Maynard; four grandchildren; two great-grand­ sons. He was at Maynard, Aug. 13, 1929, son of the late John and Mary Zaleski Kowalewski. He was a wireman for the Clark Controller Co., Cleveland, a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Maynard and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are six sisters, Helen Kupczah, Florence Delbridge, and Jean Kowalewski, all of St. Clairsville, Agnes Jacovetty and Marie Hitchcock, both of Wheel­ ing, and Stella DeMonte of Margate, Fla.; three brothers, Kizer Kowalewski of Holloway and Joe Kowalewski of Maynard and William Kowalewski of Cleveland. Geneva Kowalewski Geneva “Jean” Kowalewski, age 86, of Maynard Road, St. Clairsville, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at Bell Nursing Home. She was bom Dec. 13, 19 18 in Maynard, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Mar)' Zaleski Kowalewski. Jean was a retired employ­ ee of the former Pennsylvania Railroad, currently Amtrak. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Maynard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley, Henry, Frank,. Tony, Joseph and Kizer Kowalewski and sisters, Agnes Jacovetty, Josephine Kowa­ lewski, Anna Wright, Stella DeMonte and Helen Kupczak. He was a retired employee of General Telephone Electronics, Cleveland, a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Maynard, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley, Henry, Frank, and Tony and three sisters, Josephine Kowalewski, Anna Wright, and Agnes Jacovetty. Surviving are two brothers, Kiser of Holloway and William V. of Euclid; five sisters, Helen Kupczyak, Jean Kowalewski and Florence Dclbridge, all of SL Clairsville, Stella DeMonte of Margate, Fla., and Marie Hitchcock of Wheeling. Kowalewski, 80, Hol­ loway, died Sunday, March 5, 1995, at his home. He was bom in Lafferty, November 19, 1914, son of the late John and Mary Zelenski Kowalewski. He was a retired brakeman with the B&O Railroad at Holloway, a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church at Flushing, Flushing American Legion Post 366, May­ nard Sportsmen’s Club, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by Five brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his wife, Ruth V. Mason Kowalewski; two daughters, Kristine Merritt and Debra Blake, both of Flushing; five sisters, Helen Kupczak, Geneva Kowalewski, and Florence Delbridge, all of May­ nard; Stella DeMonte of Florida and Marie Hitchcock of Wheeling; a brother, William Kowalewski of Cleveland; eight grandchildren. Friends will be received at War­ ren Funeral Home, Flushing, Tues­ day, 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Chris­ tian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Flushing, with the Rev. John Cymbor officiating. Bur­ ial will follow in Rock Hill Ceme­ tery, Flushing. American Legion services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Wake Services will be Wednesday at 8 p.m., both services in the funeral home. 1 M ary Ko walewsk i Mary kowalewski, 87, died Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dwayne Delbridge of RD 2, St. Clair- sville. She was bom in Poland on April 16, 1888. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Maynard. Her husband, John, died in 1964. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Delbridge are five sons, Joseph, Anthony, Frank and William, all of Cleveland, and Kiser of Holloway; six daughters, Mrs. Helen Kupczak of St. Clair- sville, Mrs. Agnes Kocovetty and Mrs. Marie Hitchcock, both of Wheeling, Mrs. Anna Wright of Bridgeport, Miss Jean Kowalewski and Mrs. Stella DeMonte, both of New York; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two sisters in Poland. Funeral services were Monday.
