12/06/2012 Recommendations for the networks / associations of youth WHAT TO DO OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS: 1. Create several small groups: a) groups with one of each: a lawyer, an economist, a politologist, a sociologist, etc.; b) Each member of a group will explore its specific sphere. 2. Choose several normal countries, i.e. those which have full political freedoms, reasonable level of economic prosperity for most people, social justice and coexist with nature, such as Austria, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland. 3. Study the “architecture” and the main articles of the constitution of the chosen country, its political structure, economic system, the ideology of several parties and their programs. Choose the components which will be in harmony with the Ukrainian cultural heritage, aspirations. Members of these groups will hopefully become philosophers-architects of the societal order of Ukraine. 4. Sum up the results of the studies in electronic form and exchange them with other groups. 5. Call larger and longer meetings and discuss the desirable architecture for the political, economic and social systems of Ukraine. 6. Ensure that the discussions in question will be covered by reputable media in order to spread the progressive ideas, concepts in the society and gradually formulate public opinion in favor of necessary changes. 7. Formulate new ideologies, action programs for few new parties, socialist, centrist, liberal. BHCF is ready to monitor the above processes, help with some contacts and finance some of the work. WHAT NOT TO DO: 1. Do not join singly the existing parties. 2. In case you decide to take part in the elections in autumn 2012, do it in groups rather than singly in order to have a critical mass of new ideas, approaches. II. WHAT TO START DOING NOW 1. Become active at local royon or city level. 2. Learn from examples of self governance at local or city levels from, say, Germany and Vinnytsya oblast and help introduce reform for self governance.
