BY BEN BOTKIN [email protected] The College of Southern Idaho has tentatively selected a patch of land southwest of its Twin Falls campus for a new student apartment project. The college plans to purchase 8.5 acres adjacent to the Sawtooth Surgery Center,which is at the inter- section of Falls Avenue and Wash- ington Street North. The currently undeveloped land is west and south of the surgery center. The college is waiting to see if the city signs off on its plan to build at that location be- fore buying the property. It’s the second effort CSI has made to build more student housing in re- cent months. The Twin Falls City Council in April rejected a proposal from the college that would have al- lowed student apartments to be built at a separate site east of campus.
