Students in CISD attend seven high schools Beatriz English (9th M-Z) (Caney Creek High School, Conroe High School, Grand Oaks High School, Hauke Alternative High School, Oak Ridge High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, and The Woodlands Kathy Franklin (11th – 12th A-L) High School), seven junior high schools, ten intermediate schools, 34 elementary schools, and Donna Hounihan (10th M-Z) three alternative placement centers. th Nicholas Moore (10 A-L) ABOUT CANEY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL John Pyle (11th – 12th M-Z) Caney Creek High School is a four-year, comprehensive high school, serving the needs of its SCHOOL COUNSELORS rural, multi-ethnic student body of over 2,100 students through a diversity of curricular and extra-curricular activities. The school opened in the fall of 1997. Located 40 miles north of Tiffany Rhodriquez (Lead) downtown Houston, Caney Creek High School, part of Conroe ISD, is located in rapidly- Diane Hernandez (College & Career) growing Montgomery County, Texas, near the city of Conroe. th th 10 – 12 GRADE ACADEMICS Sarah Kelly ( A – Cl) Danielle Williams (10th Co – Ha) COVID 19 UPDATES: Conroe ISD provided asynchronous learning for all students between March – May 2020. Kimberly Mahnke (He – Me) Technology and Wifi hotspots were provided to students as needed (paper packets upon Jan Strother-Lindberg (S-Z) request). Students were required to complete at least one graded assignment per week in each Cindy Horn (Mi – R) class. In dual-credit courses, students completed both the college assignments, as well as the high school curriculum. Students in advanced placement courses participated in virtual review 9th GRADE sessions to supplement coursework preparation for AP exams. This year, the school year Sophia Meza (M-Z) began on August 12, 2020 with virtual instruction. Beginning on September 8, students had the option to continue five-day-a-week in-person or virtual school. In addition to the Joel SantaMaria (A-L) challenges of the pandemic, Caney Creek High School’s entire school community dealt with Tropical Storm Imelda in the fall of 2019. This storm not only resulted in extensive flood CCHS STUDENT BODY damage to our school, but also displaced many of our students from their homes. Grade points determine rank in class. Class rank is based upon semester grades earned in grades 9 - 12. All subjects, whether passed or Military Employment failed, are included in the computation. Students must earn at least a 70 in a semester course in order to receive credit.
