T Title This Order is the AL8 Mountain Road (Ramsey, Maughold, Lezayre, Lonan, Braddan and Onchan) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 201.0. 2 Commencement This Order comes into operation at 9.1-5am on17 May 2010. 3 Temporary closure of road to through traf.fic No person must except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on that section of the 418 Mountain Road, in Ramsey, Maughold,Lezayre, Lonan, Braddan and Onchan, between the Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa. 4 Exemptions Article 3 does not apply to a vehicle requiring access to premises or land adjacent to the road specified in article 3 or to- (a) a vehicle engaged in any of the following operations- (Ð works in land or premises adjacent to the road specified in article 3; (ii) works in the road specified in article 3 authorised by statutory provisions; or 'rg8,s c.2o Price:50p Price Code: A (iiÐ in the service of a local authority or the Department of Infrastructure in pursuance of any statutory functions in the road or in adjacent land or premises if it cannot conveniently be used for such purposes on any other road; (b) a vehicle being used in the course of duty for the police, fire brigade, ambulance or coastguard service; (c) a vehicle for which the driver holds a permit issued by the Department of Infrastructure for its use in the road, at a time or for a purpose specified in the permit; or (d) such vehicular traffic as may be authorised by the Department of Infrastructure. 5 Duration This Order is in force each day between 9.L5am and 4.00pm from 17 llr/;ay 2010 until 18 May 2010 or until the TT preparation work is completed, whichever is the earlier; and again each day between 9.L5am and 4,00pm from 24May 201,0 until 25 May 2010 or until the TT preparation work is completed, whichever is the earlier. MADE 23 APRIL 2O1O Director of Highways signed by authority of the Minister for Infrastructure EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not øpart of the Order) The effect of this Order is to prohibit through vehicular traffic from proceeding on that section of the 418 Mountain Road, in Ramsey, MaughoId, Lezayre, Lonan, Braddan and Onchan, between the Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa, whilst TT preparation work takes place. Access to properties will be maintained. Alternative routes will be via the A2 Ramsey to Douglas Road and the A3 Ballacraine to Ramsey Road. 1.
