Wine Spectator In the hills south east of Lake Iseo in the heart of Lombardy’s Brescia province lies the tiny, exclusive wine production zone of Franciacorta DOCG, provenance of Italy’s most prestigious sparkling wines. Only those wines made from grapes grown in the limited 2,200 hectare zone can lay claim to this celebrated appellation. And amongst its most famed and respected historic producers is Bellavista, the embodiment of the dreams and drive of the Moretti family, producing wines from 109 hectares of organically farmed, estate grown chardonnay, pinot nero and pinot bianco in the Traditional Method, or metodo classico, to strict DOCG regulations. Bellavista stands for elegance and refinement, with each bottle a true reflection of Franciacorta. Bellavista…is often said to be Italy’s best answer to Champagne! 125ml 750ml NV Bellavista Alma Gran Cuvée Brut Franciacorta DOCG Lombardia, Italy 23 140 Chardonnay | Pinot Nero | Pinot Bianco Straw yellow with green reflects and a fine, continuous bead. Ample and enveloping aromas of ripe fruit, fresh flowers, vanilla and pastry. Mineral and sensorially complete on the palate. Fresh and vibrant, with a long, harmonious finish. 2014 Bellavista Brut Satèn Franciacorta DOCG Lombardia, Italy 240 Chardonnay Made only in the best vintages from grapes grown at higher altitudes this delicate, elegant sparkling presents a rich foam, extremely fine perlage, seductive, smooth aromas of pink flowers, ripe citrus fruit and noisette, a smooth, creamy texture and flavour that’s perfectly balanced between ripe nuances and fresh sensations. 2014 Bellavista Brut Rosé Franciacorta DOCG Lombardia, Italy 250 Chardonnay | Pinot Nero Rare cuvée that’s both graceful and assertive, gentle and powerful. Displaying a peach aroma, enhanced by wild strawberries, wildflowers and toasted bread. Fleshy, dry and fresh on the palate, enhanced by a seductive harmony of black current and sweet almonds. WHITE WINE 2013 Bellavista Convento SS Annunciata Curtefranca Bianco DOC Lombardia, Italy 205 Chardonnay Chardonnay from the vineyard of the same name, originating back to the turn of the first millennium. A bright straw colour and tempting, multifaceted aromas hinting at ancient roses, geranium, pineapple and apricot. In the mouth, deftly combining ripeness with an original mineral and acidic seam. A sapid finish, fresh and long lasting. { Please note vintages and availability are subject to changes } 05 PREMIUM Premium WHITE by the GLASS 150ml 2017 Gaja “Alteni di Brassica” Langhe, Sauvignon Blanc DOP Piemonte, Italy 85 The 2017 Alteni di Brassica is fruitier and silkier than usual, with a complex flavor profile. Notes of white peach, papaya, jasmine flowers, fresh marjoram, anise and oregano’s flowers develop in the glass. A gentle creaminess is the feature of the Alteni’s bouquet. It’s almost salty in the finish, thanks to the mineral expression of the Serralunga vineyards. Very well integrated wood aromas. 2016 Collefrisio “Semis” Bianco Terre di Chieti IGT, Trebbiano-Falanghina-Pecorino Abruzzo, Italy 30 Straw yellow with intense golden hues. The nose has intense notes of yellow peach, apricot jam, honey and vanilla finish with a crust of bread. Complex wine, excellent structure, very persistent taste and scent. 2018 Milton Vineyards Reserve, Chardonnay Freycinet Coast, TAS 35 Adventurous and enchanting. This cool climate Chardonnay has aromatics of apple and pear which follow through to the palate along with a peach and cashew nut kick. The French oak is rich and creamy framing the well-defined fruit. This wine is a guest which would be welcome at any dinner party. { Please note vintages and availability are subject to changes } 06 PREMIUM Premium RED by the GLASS 150ml 2017 Gaja Ca’Marcanda ‘Promis”, Merlot-Syrah-Sangiovese IGT Toscana, Italy 35 The proprietary name Promis was created by the Gaja family to denote commitment, expectation, fulfillment, and hope. The promise of quality and the reward of diligence and excellence. The climate - hot summer days, freshened by brisk sea air and cool nights - is ideal for the grapes grown here. 2017 is a vintage of low quantity and all overall concentration of fruit, structure and acidity. 2017 Feudi di San Gregorio “Rubrato”, Aglianico DOC Campania, Italy 25 Feudi di San Gregorio was established in 1986 in Sorbo Serpico, a tiny village in Campania’s Irpinia region, near Mount Vesuvius. This highly acclaimed winery encourages us to rediscover the identity of Mediterranean flavours through indigenous grapes that reach their full potential with their modern winemaking approach. Rubrato translates to brilliant ruby, a nod to the rich, ruby color of the wine is grown between 1,000 – 1,600 ft above sea level in deep soil originally from ash and fallen pumice. Notes of wild berries such as strawberries and cherries, and licorice. Balanced with a finish that is reminiscent of fresh fruit, ending with a delicate balsamic note. 2017 John Duval “Eligo”, Shiraz Barossa Valley, SA 50 Born from a career spanning 30 years at the pinnacle of Australian winemaking at Penfolds, and with knowledge handed down through 5 generations, today John Duval Wines has identified exceptional old vineyards to provide a collection of distinctly Barossa wines defined by balance and structure. The Eligo is a structured but elegant expression of Barossa Shiraz. A wine with restrained power, rich texture and palate length. Lifted black plum, blackberry and blueberry with hints of earth, anise and spicy, savoury oak. Elegant expression of rich dark fruits with some earthy savouriness and smoked meat flavours. Deep and intense with excellent fruit purity and freshness, finishing with a taut backbone and a long flowing tannin structure. 2017 Stella Bella “Luminosa”, Cabernet Sauvignon Margaret River, WA 42 Stella Bella winery was founded in 1996 with the creation of suckflizzle vineyard wines and today is rated amongst the best wineries in Australia, setting the benchmark for southern Margaret River production. The opulence of this wine cannot be understated. Vibrant aromas of cranberry, mulberry, cherry and violets complimented by subtle French oak. Balanced by a hint of coffee mocha. Meticulous fruit selection at the winery to ensure only impeccable berries are used to make this wine. Whole berries enhance the aromatics of red currant, cherry and violets. A medium bodied elegant wine with an explosive perfume of violets, red fruits & blue fruits. With a precise palate of silky tannins. Selected use of French oak will compliment and nurture the wine for decades. { Please note vintages and availability are subject to changes } 07 WINES by the GLASS Sparkling Wines 125ml NV Astoria “Red Label” Prosecco Treviso Brut DOC Veneto, Italy 14 NV Bellavista Alma Gran Cuvée Brut Franciacorta DOCG Lombardia, Italy 23 White Wines 150ml 2019 Good Catholic Girl “Teresa”,Riesling Clare Valley, SA 15 2019 Villa Chiòpris, Pinot Grigio Grave del Friuli DOC Friuli, Italy 14 2020 Auntsfield Estate, Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough, NZ 16 2019 Masseria Frattasi “Donnalaura”, Falanghina DOP Campania, Italy 17 2018 Garofoli “Macrina”, Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi DOC Marche, Italy 16 2018 Lloyd Brothers “The Presshouse”, Chardonnay Adelaide Hills, SA 13 Rosé Wines 150ml 2018 Gianni Masciarelli Cerasuolo DOC Abruzzo, Italy 13 Red Wines 2019 Rochford “Estate”, Pinot Noir Yarra Valley, VIC 16 2018 Castello di Querceto Chianti, Sangiovese DOCG Toscana, Italy 14 2017 Lloyd Brothers “The Presshouse”, G.S.M McLaren Vale, SA 13 2017 Varvaglione "12 e Mezzo" Primitivo del Salento Puglia, Italy 16 2017 Jack West, Shiraz Barossa Valley, SA 14 2017 Woodvale “Orchard Road”, Cabernet Sauvignon Clare Valley, SA 15 Dessert Fortified Wines 190ml NV Astoria “Fashion Victim”, Moscato Veneto, Italy 18 90ml 2016 Primo Estate Joseph “La Magia” Botrytis, Riesling-Traminer
