FIPA INVESTMENT PROJECT PROFILE MONUMENT HOTEL, KOZARA NATIONAL PARK Project title Monument Hotel in National Park “Kozara”, Prijedor Sector Tourism Location The hotel is located in Mrakovica, about 300 meters from the Memorial zone in the central area of Kozara Mountain, only 12 km from the main road M4 Banja Luka – Prijedor, 50 km far from the Banja Luka – Gradiska highway and about 60 km from the Mahovljani airport and border crossing with Croatia. Location description Kozara National Park has been protected since 1967 and it covers the area of 33.75 km2 of dense forest and hilly meadows between Una, Sava, Sana and Vrbas rivers. It is well known as the 'Green Beauty of the Krajina'. Kozara is a popular hunting area, with a large 180 km2 open park for hunting of deer, pheasants, foxes, pigs, rabbits and ducks. A small part of the park is intended for nature lovers and suitable for walking, hiking, biking or plants picking. Project background Monument hotel is a four-star facility offering a high quality service in 31 top rooms which are fully equipped and 11 luxurious suites, with the total number of 130 beds. Guests are free to enjoy in a fireplace lounge, bar, sauna and a restaurant with the capacity of 300 seats. A congress hall with a capacity of 200 seats, equipped with modern audio and video equipment is also available as well as a business room adjusted to smaller groups. Natural surrounding and views of beautiful landscape of the Kozara National Park will complete guests’ stay in Monument Hotel. Project status Monument Hotels already operates successfully Project description The owner of the Mountain Hotel is interested in selling of the Hotel with belonging land to the potential investors. Hotel is suitable for the companies that operate in the field of tourism and hotel management. The Hotel can be additionally renovated, decorated and designed. There is also possibility for construction of new facilities e.g. indoor and/or outdoor swimming pool.
