Orange-Ulster BOCES Supervisory Area SCHOOL MEAL DISTRIBUTION PLANS REVISED The following are plans of school districts in the Orange-Ulster BOCES supervisory November 24, area to provide meals for students learning remotely during 2020-2021 school year: 2020 District Name Plan for Distribution of Meals Pick up of meals will be from 12:30-1:00 p.m. on Mondays (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) at Chester Academy, 64 Hambletonian Ave at the top parking lot by the cafeteria entrance. Students who are remote 5 days can pick up a package of meals that are frozen ready to heat, for the 5 day period. Academy students Chester UFSD who attend school two days a week and still want meals will receive a package of 3 meals for the days students are learning remotely. Meals will include a cold breakfast, and reheatable lunch for each day. Fresh fruit and fresh vegetables will be included. Remote meals will be free or paid, the same as in-person meals, using your My School Bucks account. Pursuant to federal action on October 9, 2020, effective immediately the district is able to temporarily provide school meals FREE OF CHARGE to ALL Cornwall students, regardless of eligibility or income, through June 30, 2021. Free Remote Day Meal Pick Up: Families are invited to pick up Breakfast and Lunch meals at the Cornwall Middle School on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. –1 p.m. at the rear of the building, for the days your children are learning remotely. We ask Cornwall CSD that you contact the Food Service Director at [email protected] or 845-534-8009 x7704 prior to pick up. Please note that families previously approved for free and reduced meals still need to complete a new annual Free/Reduced application if they have not yet done so. Once this temporary program ends, students will default back to their previous pricing category. School Food Services will continue to provide school breakfast and/or lunch to ALL students, both in-school and remote learners. Meals will be modified to ensure student and staff safety. The district will serve all a unitized, bagged meal, which will contain all foods planned for the menu. In-school lunches Florida UFSD as well as lunches that are being picked up at S.S. Seward must be pre-ordered via the online Florida UFSD Daily Lunch Form by midnight the day before. Starting 9/14/20, pick-up will be on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule. If there is no school on a Monday, the pick-up will be on Tuesday of that week. Meal pickup will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. each Wednesday (due to school closure on Wednesday, November 25, pick will be Tuesday, November 24) behind the C. J. Hooker Middle School in the back parking lot. Be cautious and careful driving behind the building. Students who are fully remote (no in-person classes) can pick up a package of meals consisting of 5 breakfasts and lunches for the 5 day period. Students who are hybrid (in-person classes two days per week) can pick up package of 3 breakfasts and lunches for the days they are learning remotely. Meal distribution will continue during the two-week period from November 30 through December 11 while all students transition to a fully remote model of instruction. It will be held Goshen CSD from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesdays in the C. J. Hooker Middle School back parking lot. All meals are free. In an effort to best accommodate our families, please email [email protected] to let him know that you will be picking up meals, or if you are in need of special accommodations, such as an alternate pickup day. Meals will include a cold breakfast and a reheatable lunch for each day. Cooking instructions will be included. Fresh or frozen fruit and vegetables will be a part of every meal. If a snow day should occur on a Wednesday (the day of food distribution) then meals will be distributed the following day, on Thursdays, from 2:40-4:30 p.m. The Remote Food Service Program is available for all K-12 remote student learners. Meals are distributed weekly on Tuesday morning between 10:30AM- Greenwood Lake UFSD 12:30PM. To sign up for the Remote Food Service Program, please contact [email protected]. Free breakfast and lunch for all students will be available until June. 30, 2021. For those who are working remotely, whether full-time or hybrid, meals can be picked up at Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Intermediate School on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Breakfasts and Lunches Highland Falls CSD for holidays can be collected during pick-up on the distribution day before the holiday. Kiryas Joel UFSD Non-public school sites in the community will continue to distribute meals to all public school students. All school district students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch at the Marlboro High School Snack Shack pick-up window on Mondays from Marlboro CSD 8:00am-1:00pm. Please bring reusable bags and be prepared to provide student name/s and ID number/s. Delivery of meals also occurs on Mondays for those who cannot pick-up. If you have any questions, please contact Food Services Director Fred Callo at 236-5815. Beginning Friday, November 20 we will be distributing TUESDAY and FRIDAY for all children, 18-and-under. Each child will receive Breakfast, Lunch and Snack. Tuesday, will be for 3 days, Friday will be for 4 days. Any child, 18-and-under can go to any of the locations outlined below to receive meals. Please be prepared to carry 4 days of meals- bring something with wheels- strollers, shopping cart, backpacks with wheels, wagon, even a wheelbarrow. Child does not need to be present. Grades 6-12 students can access “Grab ‘N Go” meals at Otisville or the middle school from 8 to 10:30 a.m. daily. Up to three days worth of meals can be picked up at one time, if needed. Minisink Valley CSD Sept. 21 update: Please note K-5 families who selected the full remote instructional option for their children will need to pickup meals at our “Grab ‘N Go” locations at the times listed above. Important update: Starting Monday, Sept. 21, all breakfasts and lunches will be offered free-of-charge to all children up to 18 years of age. This is scheduled to remain this way through the 2020-21 school year. Free school meals are available for pickup daily, Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at M-W High School, M-W Middle School, Pine Tree Elementary, North Main Elementary, Central Valley School, Smith Clove Elementary. (Fridays distributions include Monday’s meals). Families may pick up meals at the school most Monroe-Woodbury CSD convenient to them or if unable to access these sites during the day, they may pick up meals on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Central Valley Elementary.
