Eaton Internship Program – Engineering & Technology Job Description: Eaton’s Engineering & Technology Internship Program is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. Students will develop skills through structured training, coaching and networking events. Assignments are driven by real business objectives, focus on growth technologies and allow participants to have a high level of contact with Eaton’s key innovation and technology leaders. Wherever your career aspirations lie, you can cultivate your skills in the Eaton Internship Program – Engineering & Technology. The summer internship culminates with a formal presentation where students showcase their success stories to senior leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance. After completion of the internship, and upon graduation, your experience and newly acquired skills could lead you to a variety of career paths, such as the Eaton Leadership Development Program- Engineering & Technology. This full-time program could include assignments in design and development engineering with long term opportunities in design engineering, product engineering and program management, as well as engineering leadership roles. As one of our engineers, you will help to provide solutions to our customers’ power problems. Active participation in recognized technical societies such as NFPA and IEEE and collaboration with a variety of utilities and industries ensures that our engineers and technicians are knowledgeable about today’s cutting edge technology and engineering techniques. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: offering start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, as well as responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year. Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities. Eaton’s Field Service Engineer Internship Program is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. Your engineering assignments will provide you with the opportunity to perform field service engineering and technical assistance to a variety of customers in areas of installation, testing, startup, maintenance, repair, training and modification of electrical power distribution equipment; self-manage assigned electrical power distribution systems related projects; apply knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment; deliver technical solutions to customers; perform complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations. Our engineers operate with the mission of providing high quality service, support and solutions with a key emphasis placed on on-time, quality service and sustained relationships with our sales force, channel partners, and end-user customers. Travel to customer sites is required. This internship will help prepare you for both technical and future leadership roles at Eaton. As an intern, you will be provided with a structured training and development curriculum, a blend of instructor-led, virtual classrooms, eLearning courses, and on-the-job training to assist you in developing your career. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements): • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in engineering program including electrical, electrical and or computer, electrical engineering technology, mechanical, mechanical engineering technology, industrial or systems • Authorization to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without visa sponsorship • Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the internship • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: • Relevant internship or co-op experience • Community and campus activity with leadership roles • Strong analytical, computer, writing and presentation skills • Relevant industry experience • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 Eaton Internship Program – Finance & Accounting Job Description: Eaton’s Finance & Accounting Internship Program is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-week paid internship, students will work on projects and be assigned to responsibilities that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. As a participant in the program, you will complete assignments that will give you the hands-on experience to get started in your career. These assignments may include working as a financial analyst or internal auditor in a corporate function or in one of our manufacturing operations. To facilitate and accelerate the onboarding process, students attend an orientation program and are provided a competitive housing allowance and reimbursement for relocation. The summer internship culminates with a formal presentation program where students showcase their success stories to senior leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance. After completion of the internship and upon graduation, your experience and newly acquired skills could lead you to a variety of career paths, such as the Eaton Leadership Development Program - Finance & Accounting. This full-time position would provide you the opportunity to have several assignments in business, finance, accounting, etc., that are progressive in job responsibilities and provide a broad experience across multiple business units, to develop a variety of business and leadership skills. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements): • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business with an emphasis on Accounting or Finance • Outstanding academic credentials, with a 3.0 minimum GPA • Geographical flexibility is required • Authorization to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: • Desire to build a career in accounting/finance • Relevant internship or co-op experience • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community • Self-motivated and a strong desire to achieve results • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Eaton Internship Program – MBA, General Management Job Description: Expand your experience, gain global exposure, develop leadership competencies and gain knowledge of Eaton’s business, products, processes and functions with Eaton’s General Management Internship Program. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of Eaton leadership competencies such as business strategy, business acumen and leveraging resources.
